Att/Def levels During Game

Hi All

Does anyone know if it is possible to change attack and defence levels during the game like you used to be able to?!!

I cannot for the life of me figure it out, that was an important part of my strategy without having to pause to the menu all the time!

I have noticed the new design level bar appears briefly at certain times then fades out again.....anyone????!!!!

instead of using L2 use select button!!! L2 and R1 is offensive L2 and R2 defensive, instead use SELECT button and R1 or R2!!!!

Tried that mate, does nothing, still do not see the bar!

You need to go to Management and somewhere in there set the ATT/Def Level(which is at the very bottom) to OFF. Default is Auto that's why you can't control it.

Yep, done that already mate! all I have on the screen is the scanner, I just want the att/def/ level bar there!

It doesn't stay on the screen anymore as it used to. It shows up when you press the required buttons and then it disappears until you press them again.

It appears at the bottom left/right as a vertical bar when you alter it and fades away after about 5 secs.

Yes I have seen it appear and fade, but I am not sure what I am pressing and if it has changed or not!

Right this is getting stupid, I have done all things suggested, yes the thing pops up, but not when I press the select button and R1/R2 even when it does eventually appear, there is no change in the vertical level meter at all! Grrrrr!!! May be forced to just choose an automatic option now, this is one thing I hate about this game, I bloody love the rest!

What controller are you using? "Select" button like the one on a PS3 controller(left of start button)

Make sure you switch the ATT/DEF LVL to "OFF" then you will get to use it manually. Then when you are in the game simply press the "Select + R1 or R2"

Yeah, the button to use is:
Select, on a PS3 style controller
Back, on a XBOX style controller.

If you use another type of controller, open c:\program files\konami\pes2011\settings.exe to map that button to your controller.

HI Chaps, Yeah I am using a Ps3 style controller, ok now I see! I didn't realise you meant the actual 'select' button on the pad!

i know how to get levels but, this is only working for me in the second half of each game ??????????
