Someone got upset with my when I beat them in an online quick match. Calling me garbage etc and then eventually throwing out the lag card. I didn't cheat and the connection seemed fine to me but obviously cannot be 100% that he didn't get any lag.

Never had any issues with any other player complaining of lag in all the months I've been playing the game. Anyone have any experience of how Konami treat these types of things?

They can be pretty strict I remember trollin some kid on 2015 went 1-0 up and just passed it around the back till the final whistle afterwards he messaged me to say he reported me to konami anyway 2 days later i get a knock at my door theres 2 blokes standing there one holding a baseball bat i do owe some money to debt collectors but im certain these guys were from konami so i didnt answer the door
