I will need to speak with [MENTION=181887]MeatGravyMeat[/MENTION] as it is his competition, but a possible solution could be to see if we can get 24 people by the start of next week, then the 1st round would be 3 people competing against each with the winner going onto the next round where we would follow the discussed 1v1 format.

The other option would be 32 people with a extra round, but I doubt we could get that many.

Yeah I think that's a great idea. Although it seems a touch harsh to lose two thirds of the competitors in one round- perhaps we could have top spot of each group going through automatically with a qualifying round for second place so 8 first placed qualifiers and 4 second placed qualifiers. Or am I over-doing it?

Either way, it's a good idea to set a time limit on getting the requisite participation too. If we haven't got 24 entrants by Monday then we'll go ahead with 16.

Oops, it seems so complicated for round trip from me (sorry for busy at work always), if following rules was decided, I would like to let my place for the others. :(

Then how about some playoff for facemakers who want to sign up but already late?
Maybe you can take 2 random participants from the list of current 16 and make them go with the other participants currently in standby list in playoff round to compete for two slots in final round?
The lucky originals 14 will have to wait for the two playoff winner. And then we can began the final round with 16 participants.

Just an idea though;)
Sorry if it's a bit complicated, just to make this more interesting with things like playoff round (Like UCL).

How about 12 1v1 then 6 1v1 then 3 1v1 with the final between the final 3? Means no extra work, as it is the same number of rounds, just means the final will have 3 people instead of 2

Thats a great idea!
You could even have 1 place (gold medal), 2 place (silver medal) and 3 place (bronze medal) like the Olympic Games :)

Perfect. There's our format as long as we can get three more people in before Monday. I've extended the list on the first post.
