Everyone should try jenkey and yair's patches

Ali

It is happening again
If it's so good, Konami should hire him! Then get him to sort it out on the consoles. If some regular Joe can program such a great patch, why can't the folk at Konami do a better job, when they get paid to do it??

Where can we find this patch?

What do you feel has been improved on with the patches?

The ball physics feels much more realistic.
Goalkeepers are improved and feel much better and more reliable.
Passing/Shooting feels better ( tho shooting is still automated here and there but dunno if they can even fix this ).
Shot power is improved and feels more realistic now ( u can even set it to more or less but I feel the default settings in the patch are the best overall ).
AI is improved and feels more realistic and better especially in pressuring you and the defence feels better.
Dribbling is downgraded a bit and feels much more realistic , the whole attack:defence balance feels better now.

There must be a way to show and convince konami to this jenkey's patches, and the other great community patches. It definetely must be large scale, the internet is such a powerful tool. It'll be like a combined effort from all the pes forums. Pes has one of the most dedicated community whose aim is to improve the game; yet seems to be like any other gaming communities. We must let Konami must know.

Wow, fantastic. I have been considering buying for my PC and this has just sold it for me. I love the fact that in addition to all the gameplay improvements they can also improve some graphical elements and add things like different scoreboards, nets, balls etc etc.

Could you tell me how easy it is to use option files on PC, are they easy to download, I have a good PC but don't really know a great deal about them. Any basic instructions would be really helpful, thanks.

It's these patches from the PES community that make me gutted I've got a PS3.

Out of curiosity, what will PES2012 run on, for PC. I mean run well at, with nice graphics etc.

I have Dual Core 1.8ghz Athlon, 2GB Ram, and a decent graphics card.

Will it run very well on this guys?

Oh right it's for the PC. Sounds like a good patch.

Goalgerd does something similar with the ps3 patch in regards to tweaking the gameplay, dribbling etc

I just worry now when all this tweaking is done, it compromises the individual player's stats and teams way of playing and whether it's worth it in the long run.

Yes, they are really easy to install. For the most part you just need to unzip the contents of those files and then move them to a certain folder in the PES 12 folder and thats mostly it for most of the patches. Some require a bit more work but not much so its still as easy as saying "pie".

What is this "decent" graphics card you talk about, but your processor and RAM is good enough to run it nicely.

I just worry now when all this tweaking is done, it compromises the individual player's stats and teams way of playing and whether it's worth it in the long run.

How will it compromise that? If anything it will improve it.

Many thanks, I'm going with the PC version of the game then.
That has sold it for me!

I assume the gamespeed is slower too right?? But when we go online to play its back to the Konami default I would assume.

any chance you can post a video of gameplay with this mod on? i'm anxious to see the difference.

never mind i found a youtube video, looks really good. Dribbling looks much better even shooting, i'm totally shocked that this mod took this game to such level, i will ask if he can make manual pass real manual not semi-assisted!

You don't have to be gutted. The PS3 will have it's own game play file that I create. Been doing it for years started out on the ps2 and pc and made files like the one described in this thread, then moved on to the PS3.

The difference is that the files on the pc use global stat editing, so all players of a certain position are increased or decreased by a value. I would do it this way if I could, but as you cannot do with this by editing a ps3 file on pc.

Because of this I edit EVERY player manually so you end up with what should be even more realistic game play. I then test every team to get them playing how they should

Goalgerd makes the strips and teams, I do the the game play for our files.

Individual player stats are made a lot more accurate after tweaking as is the game play. I spent literally months improving this game and testing it the last 8 years.
