Now look,
PES 5 has everything in it en nothings is impossible to do (Not even a stupid counter attack of 2-4 passes). The only thing u have to ask urself is how many times do u see a counter attack of 2-4 passes (In a real soccermatch) in which they actually outplay & score there opponents? Also If u really love soccer and actually look at real games(Maybe even play them in real life) you will come to one conclusion: PES is made for people that know about soccer and have a lot of experience and FIFA is made for people whom only look at games with the most populair goals that only occur once every 2-3 years maybe? Another thing
Some people play FIFA for just a day or two maybe a week. But tell me one thing after a few months, will it still be tha great game that u have described here? I doubt it!!

i've played fifa 2007 and it still has similar problems, players dont seem to battle for balls, you know if a header is going in or going to be cleared as soon as you put a cross in, whereas pro always has challenges for each ball. Also goals are to similar, once you get the hang of it it is eay as PIE. Don't ebven get me started on difficulty levels, the only thing that cahnges is goalies get better. Sure possibly skills are better, but they never beat the computer player; whereas pes uses skills which can beat a player, such as the dummy and 360 thing.
Overall i agree with the reviewer - fifa has improved, but not to the extent to beat pes. It has drawn in a few pes men with its lincencing and shiny cover and early release date. But be patient my friends for the release of the master!

Next time u watch a Real footy match on tele, look at the general movement of the ball the pace of it,touches the players make, the controls the movement evrything and ask yourself, does pes look like this???
The honest awnser is no,and that cant be disputed im afraid, fifa looks very very near to real football

Yep, thats my view exactly. As you say, it feels more like real football than a video game. With a bit of tweaking, it could be even better.

I'll still play WE... that is if we:pes2k7 feels better to me. If it 'feels' anything like we9, I might be a traitor.

Right. we8i was awesome, we9i is a step back for konami, online mode being the only "positive" thing, played FIFA 07 for x360 for 3 hours last nite and started to find my way on it, not that bad after all, altough player faces are odd, Scholes looks better in the PS2 version than in 360, just to name one.

Unfair!

Sorry ,But evey year i buy both plus WE on both ps2 and psp And i have got to say one thing about fifa 07: they have definately fixed the gameplay.ok so its not up to we10 standards but this is the first fifa in years that has made a drastic(read not cosmetic but gameplay too) improvement over ther previous game
the gameplay is a load more flowing .
so there you have it!
my opinion only ,you may disagree and thats ok.just my opinion mates.
fifa 07.my second favourite game right now, after we10.
until the 27th when pes6 comes out(it will still be my second favourite ,beacause we10 will slip to 3).

I'm sorry, I mean I prefer pes to fifa but you can't knock the crossing and amount of curl in fifa. the crossing is brilliant in fifa, you can put in some proper, whipped balls with pace and bend, unlike in pes, where in genral the crossing is poor to be honest, no bend, always straight balls that are either lofted in too high or are fired in along the floor. as far as curl goes, fifa may have a tad too much, but on pes it's near impossible to curl a ball a decent amount apart from on free kicks.

I'm not saying fifa is better, just that pes isn't exactly perfect either

FIFA 2007 = 25 minutes wasted in my life that I will never get back!!!

Very good review, just what I needed to clear any doubt I had. I read somewhere else that finally FIFA 2007 was better than Pro Evo. Not True!!

Thank you for the time you took. If I had just known about your review before downloading the crappy demo........I waisted around (dowloading and trying it) 25 minutes in my life I will never get back!!!

You are absolutely true. After just a couple of demo matehes, I became very bored. Fifa is still Fifa; an arcade game.

I have not played a FIFA since it was on the PSOne. I have thought about buying it on the grounds that it is out before PES and I'm sure many have.

The licencesed teams is a big draw make no mistake but like a heroin addiction after a while you just feel hollow inside with it.

If the FIFA fanboys think its so good then why with each update is it becoming closer and closer to PES...answer because its an all round football fans fav.

Everyone I know thats into football has PES and those who couldn't give to shits about football play FIFA in my experience.

You want something you can pick up and play straight away then FIFA is you game. Want to emerce yourself in the ML or spend all night making the perfect OF that everyone will be raving about (Watsons on PES 5) then PES is the one for you.
