If they mess up players so badly who play for such a big team I reckon there will be plenty of hilarity with players from lower teams. I think they Google image searched Evans tbh and got the wrong person:facepalm:.
First impressions; the gameplay is decent but I'm finding the game a bit stiff when defending, but might be because I haven't changed any
assist settings. Shooting is vastly improved.

Haha I know, couldn't believe it when I saw him! Thought that he was a joke character, shocking.

Yeah I had a quick go last night and felt I had slightly less control, probably due to the new animations. By the 3rd game I started to get better.

Not sure if anyone can confirm this but clicking in the thumb stick to send someone on a run was not working for me. Maybe a settings change will do this.

I did like shooting but felt a bit floaty. Running on to a ball outside the box with Van Persie on a high was producing weaker shots than I expected...

Passing is much improved and loving the collisions but sometimes feels like when too many players are close to each other it can look a bit odd with loads of strange collisions.

It is good but needs tightening up in my opinion, most stuff feels about 95% finished.

So glad that the hustle and bustle is back in the game and you can overpower players to retain the ball. Had some good midfield battles. Was not expecting it to be this good.
Just hope they can sort the choppiness of the cut scenes. Really not acceptable that.
The AI doesn't seem so scripted on Superstar what is fantastic.
Can't honestly believe how good the game looks.

I tend to be pretty good at noticing the scripting, so I hope what you're saying is true.

Did you find the shooting to be a floaty as wallpaper_01 did?

Been listening to Mak complaining about pes 12 and 13 now for the last few years and rightly so. Now if he's saying pes is back, then it must be. Looking forward to playing tonight. Just wondering though, i hear people saying its like pes 5/6 with a better engine...is that so? Please say it is!

It really is dude, starting to think that's what they did.

Grabbed PES 5 and just added sweet graphics and smooth animations lol.

Well I'm not getting a PS4 for a while so it's good for me, good job it's not coming out on PS4 or XBOX One.

About Rafeal and Johnny Evans faces; I'm looking at them now just looks like they are default created character faces to me. That's why they're so shit looking.
Also it's quite laggy on replays too as well as the gameplan menu, I think it's something to do with that lag on cutscenes. If the full game comes out and that lag issue is fixed on cutscenes I guarantee it fixes the slow paced menu navigating.

Is the team mate pressure still square and the super cancel the same?
Both seem a bit sloppy. Feels like I can't manipulate my players good enough when defending.

It takes a few games to get used to, but once you do it's a really good game. So far I haven't felt cheated when the CPU score, in fact sometimes im wowed by the dinks of my keeper when I rush him out. But one thing that may be overpowered is the right stick in one direction and left stick in another for a quick change in direction, although I've only tried it with ribery and robben which may be why.

I wouldn't say shooting is floaty, I think it's about right but it's lacking something which I can't pinpoint.

Cant complain about GK's yet.

Well I will play the crap out of this game untill i do see the stuff that goes wrong.

One thing though, although I've been Bayern vs Man U. I havent lost once. However, it could be since I played a few on Regular, then Proffesional and now a few on Top Player. I think the momentum thing is working, the amount of times I or the CPU have scored in the last 10 minutes is quite high.

I've played 7, apart from one where I won 4-0, I've won 2-1 three times (I was winning 2-0 with 10 minutes to go or 1-1 late on), drawn 1-1 twice (both late equalisers) and drawn 0-0 once. Maybe it's coincidence, well we'll see later on.

really enjoying the demo but I don't find it as hard as some make it out to be. I've been playing Top Player with Italy vs Germany and I've scored multiple goals in many games. I guess this may be because the root of how PES2014 is supposed to be played, using your team, looking for forward cuts and open spaces is how I enjoy playing PES2013 and older pes games. Im more used to this way of playing rather than what most ppl do with overpowering through passes.

One thing I do question though. I noticed defenders, wingers and midfield players making odd sprint forward runs to get open, while nice it feels odd, seems like they're running too fast, plus I fee like I have less control of my team because of this. I much rather decide who and when these runs are made. Is this something that could be turned off? Could also be a problem on Online play if they keep this in the retail version. And finally... I can't seem to get off ball controls to work like in PES2013, are they not in the demo or did they change the controls for this?

Superstar is amazing. Your opponent actually makes mistakes and they don't play like superheroes like you saw on previous PES' 's and particular FIFA.
Overall pace of the game seems spot on. [MENTION=180348]Ali[/MENTION] Shooting is fine if your body balance is right.

yes I've been winning on a regular basis on Top Player as well. Once you create space you're pretty much gone, the defenders don't catch up to you line in previous versions.

Haven't tried Superstar, only TopPlayer. But I agree, the pace is perfect, hope they don't mess with it.

ahhhh Thank you! I was wondering where the off ball controls went! Does this also work to change players on defense? For example if you want to move to control your last defender to avoid a crazy through ball?

Its a fantastic Demo. Great Gameplay! Nice animations, nice atmosphere, "okay" faces.
But I will need some training, because my passes are so bad.
