Sup guys, I've not been on here in about a month but just wanted to let you all know I've finally manned up and got rid of PES 2010.

As I've said many, many times before I'm sick of forking out £40 each year for the same shite. Konami are just taking us all for mugs and I feel so much better now knowing I'm no longer sitting there getting cheated online or getting frustrated at the shockingly bad goalkeepers, AI and everything else that is so bad with it.

Wow this year we can see torres's freckles, have no invisible forcefields at throw ins and have sliders!!.... :| Well worth the £40 eh? Barca/Man Utd players are still superhuman and keepers, online, overall gameplay and AI are still god awful!!! Do I remember correctly that there was a whole new dedicated team working on PES2010? Haha if that's what this super team you boast so much about create them please just give up!

I mean come on PES hasn't been anywhere near the standard we deserve since PES 6. With the step up to next gen consoles why have we had to suffer so much? With Konami if it's not one thing it's another. For example what was their excuse for the worst edit mode ever in PES 2008? Why are PES games the worst games I've ever played online? Why take out options that were in previous games? Why not just keep in snow, generic faces, custom boots, ability to choose home shirt with away short, etc, etc? Yes these things don't matter as much as the overall gameplay and AI problems but it mega annoys me that I know next year or the year after they are going to re-introduce snow, custom boots, etc as 'NEW FEATURES'. Just like they are going to again promise that online is fixed and flawless.

I'm not going to bother repeating what so many others have said about the gameplay problems and the embarrassing AI or even the pathetic excuse for online mode as what we say is just falling on deaf ears. So Konami, I give up. I've been buying your games since I got PES on my Playstation and always been able to play them right up to the release of the next installment but not this year. Not touched the game in two months since the scripting got too much. Fair enough it's not as bad as last year but I expected it to be sorted along with a lot of other aspect ready in time for this years game. Jokes on me for falling for your empty promises AGAIN.

So now instead of thinking about how good PES was, all I can think about is getting frustrated at paying £40 each year just to be cheated. Taking the ball round Van Der Sar, having an open goal to score the winner in injury time only to be taken out from behind by Ferdinand (blatant red card and penalty) and the referee blows for full time. It's beyond a joke.

So in conclusion, fuck you Konami. No longer will you get my £40 a year and I hope next years figures show just how many fans you have lost. You can't expect to churn out lazy attempts at a game people wait all year for and still rake it in. You basically rob us all ever year and for that I have lost all respect in the company.

And before the fag fanboys start leaving FIFA comments, I've no intention of getting it.

Well written comments and I, for one, wish you good luck.

I agree with your comments on the whole and I also think their figures will be down next year, but I fear you are preaching to the wrong people. There are those here that think this is the best football game ever and those, like me, that are not sure yet - there are things that I just need to get used to.

But you certainly are correct in that the taking out of small things can be annoying - my personal gripe with Konami is that they never include instructions for their games - instead you have to fork out more money for their guides.

Fair...

Maybe the only alternative to improve the game is not buying it... hard solutions for hard problems...

Peace.

I ditched PES too and got FIFA. FIFA's not great either, but at least there is no recurrence of that challenge from behind that wins the boot-shaped "ball."

Both PES and FIFA this year are ****in' terrible.

It's sad really. Football is the most popular sport on the planet. Is a decent video game for it too much to ask for? :/

i stopped buying it last year ,i for one would be much happier if they brought out a version every 2 years ,that was a tested finnished polished playable accurate simulation i would pay extra for a next gen pes version like that

^ Never gonna happen.

Konami clearly doesn't give a **** about this series anymore.

I wont be back this year either, choice between shocking online or boring offline. Screwed up royally, my main issue being the lies issued from the Konami PR team just before release about online being fixed. W*nkers.

That's exactly what you did, really.

How did I? I skimmed the top of the gameplay/AI/online problems by giving an example. You can go far deeper/in depth with those problems. That's what I'm not repeating because it's plainly obvious by looking at all these threads that everyone knows exactly what's wrong. We have been saying it for years, but as I also said, our feedback constantly falls on deaf ears.

And tbh why did you even bother even replying? You have brought nothing to this discussion.

I thought u were leaving

At what point did I say I was leaving?

Why are there so many morons on this site? No wonder we can't get a decent football game when people like you and Sabatasso are clogging up the threads with pointless, non-constructive comments.

Yes, I've sold the game but why do you automatically think I'll not be back on the site?

Cg1206...

Do you know how hard it is to make these games? And do you know how hard it is for companies to actually earn money from them???

PES 2010 is actually one of the better sports games made for this generation of consoles. That's not an apology for Konami's sake, it's a clear assessment of the current state of gaming. The amount of resources needed to make these games is exponentially higher than it was for the PS2 and original Xbox. On top of that there is far more room for error due to the larger amount of code needed. If you also take into consideration the current economic state of the world, perhaps then you can get an idea of what I am talking about.

It was probably a smart move on Konami's part to emphasize player appearances this year. Just like it was incredibly smart for them to snatch up the UEFA club competition licenses. It has been proven that the main reason people buy sports video games is to play as their favorite stars and teams. That is what is going to lure people to play these games.

The game may not measure up to the high standard that Konami set for themselves this past decade, but it is at the very least a decent and playable game. Pout if you want, or just suck it up and appreciate it for what it is: a fun but flawed game.

Well "Goodbye Konami" implies you are not buying future games so your olny motive for really being here is to give negative feedback weve all heard 3.9 million times before.

Wtf? Do we deserve a flawed but fun game? Plus how can you even call this game fun? Offline gaming is boring and frustrating and online is non-existent. Fair enough the game is an improvement from last seasons 'attempt' but it is still nowhere near the game we, as loyal fans of the game, deserve. PES 2010 is the game we should have had instead of PES 2008. It's as simple as that. There was absolutely no improvement from PES 6 until now. That's 2 years (PES 2008&2009) that they have robbed us blind, giving us the near exact same game with an updated roster and kits.

Your excuse for the step up to next gen gaming would be acceptable if you said it two years ago, not now when they have had ample time to adjust and listen to the fans.

As for how hard it is to make the game, it's their job. Can't stand the heat, then get out the kitchen. If they can't do it, don't waste our time giving us false promises. As for earning any money from the game, don't make me laugh. Look at the fan base they constantly exploit year in year out. I just really hope this year they realise how many fans they have actually lost as a result of their lazy tactics. It just went extremely downhill after that pathetic excuse of a demo. Great way to market your much anticipated, flawless game eh?

And yes great on them for getting the Champions League. First decent thing they have done in about 3 years. However it's only 12 year old fanboys who are attracted to licenses, etc. I'd happily give up the Champions League license to get a decent PES game. Too little, too late unfortunately.

Well "Goodbye Konami" implies you are not buying future games so your olny motive for really being here is to give negative feedback weve all heard 3.9 million times before.

Ah so you can read? It's just your brain that doesn't work. Goodbye Konami, not goodbye PESGaming.com. Funny how you've heard it all 3.9 million times before yet Seabass hasn't heard it once.

Maybe I see no point bringing anything to a "I am leaving, just so everybody know" thread. OK, you're not going to play PES2010 anymore because you are displeased with the game... big deal, I don't fucking care.

Since you did not really bring anything new into the discussion either, but just repeated what everyone said before, then WHY THE HELL POST IT AT ALL?

I'm pretty sure it's numerous threads like this already... and you complain about _me_ not bringing anything to the discussion... the nerve!

like every new pes, you have to change your style of playing...i think in this version you dont have to use the sprint button...dont press the sprint button and you can have a "good" match...what´s your experience?
