No disrespect intended, but i reckon because people can't be bothered to alter a few stats in game themselves to make the game totally playable is a real shame. Their missing out on a great game.

Believe me i know we should not have to alter the stats ourselves, but we do what we have to do i guess. :)

your probably right with the stats part making the game better but isnt that what we payed for when we bought the game. whats the point with changing stats when as soon as you go online or at a mates house the stats are bk to normal and your left looking rather foolish woudering y ur playing so bad.

Great way to market your much anticipated, flawless game eh?

And yes great on them for getting the Champions League. First decent thing they have done in about 3 years. However it's only 12 year old fanboys who are attracted to licenses, etc. I'd happily give up the Champions League license to get a decent PES game. Too little, too late unfortunately.

Excellent points in your original thread as well as this one, but unlike you I am not going to get rid of the game-this game has taught me endurance, patience and not that I am proud of it-swearing too.

i traded pes in last week and it's the first time i have ever got rid of it early. i think i have just got sick of the game not really changing that much and why they keep taking things out. last year i got into bal but this time you can't add teams to it so it makes it pretty pointless as i want to play as celtic. they have also took out trophy celebrations which to me is the whole point of playing and winning, i always hated that about fifa and could rely on pes for some good cutscenes. hopefully pes 11 will sort it out but i'm afraid i won't be rushing out on day one this year. maybe the extra time away will reignite my enthusiasm for the new one though. suppose i can still dig out pes 6 for the trusty ps2 if i feel the urge

Hm... after PES 6 I thought: Cool. Perfect Gameplay, much fun. Good game. So I definitely was looking forward to PES 2008. PES 6 with new roosters and next-gen graphics. Well, we all know the result ^^
One year later I hoped that they perhaps learned from their mistakes and we again know the result. But PES 2010 really is the biggest disappointment. Third year in the "Next-Generation" and still not a good game. I mean, the next game ist PES X. Or PES 2011, dont care about names. Its the fourth round and they are hopefully able to deliever a good game with good gameplay.
This year sucks: Masterleague-Refrees are the biggest morons ever.
Players cant controll the ball after a pass. Okay they can, after a minute or two. Combination pass-play gotten worse. Keeper-AI is like retarded cockroaches (nothing against cockroaches, I like them) and so on and on and on.
I can definitely understand you, CG. I sold my copy of PES2010 like 3 month ago, but I rebought it just a week ago, because I'm such a weak FIFA Player... its sad. I'm a FIFA-Noob since I'm a PES Gamer for my entire life, but PES just doesnt give me a good feeling anymore.
Sad but true.

PS: Sry if my english is bad. Its not my mothertongue and i'm not the biggest pro in english language ^^

I traded in 2009 early and had to trade in 2010 early aswell. Kept 2008 but was far from pleased with it. The future of PES is bright though. They've moved into a new building, increased the size of the team and have dedicated departments. Im happy to hear they have a future development team. They've been a mess these past few years but they have finally settled down and got to grips with the technology so we should look forward to great games in the future.

are you saying that PES 2008 is a better game than PES 2010? Or are you just dissapointed the most with PES 2010 because after 3 years its still not as "good" as PES6 ?

PES 2008 was the biggest mess EVER as far as PES games and thats the one that got me because of the expectations, like someone above said, I also was expecting PES6 with next gen graphics and boy was I dissapointed! PES09 was much better and the gameplay went back to resembling the PS2 games but still wasn't there, to me PES2010 is a good game, as good as the PS2 ones? I wouldn't say that but its a good, fun game which is very playble on and off line. I just don't understand the massive amount of hatred towards it.

I think this years pes is brilliant yes i do have complaints about the game but the fact is they did a better job this year than last year they could listen to us more often and try and buy more licenses like wales russia ukraine and that they wont be that expensive compare to germany frnace and england and so on and so on i think pes r getting better more people buy pes the money the more money the get the more they can buy licenses

reading this was rather interesting.

first of all to all the posters saying 'if you stand up for this game you deserve a slap in the face' and any comments along those lines. GROW UP. its a game, if you dont like it, dont play it and trade it in. you're welcome to your opinion but telling people what to think is immature and childish.

secondly in my overall opinion i think pes is improving in some ways year by year. in other ways it is let down and yes everygame has its upsides and downsides. imo i thought pes2008 was better then pes6 and well pes2010 better then them both. The game as a whole has good graphics, highly enjoyable and well laid out. there are some downsides mainly with the AI and well that for me at times can get frustrating with the poor AI teams, refs etc but it doesnt stop the enjoyment of the game.

i have also played fifa 2009 and 2010. i find both of them inferior to pes, with fifa just touching up the game each year and keeping the 'if it aint broke dont fix it' style. i chose pes cos it played better, if i wanted a game which was the 'brand' and had all the teams with official kits and stadiums etc i would choose fifa.

i think konami can take one or two ideas from fifa, ie the referees and the decisions in fifa are well done, playing advantage, not giving free kicks when you sneeze at a player etc etc and also i find taking corners easier on fifa

and to cg: atleast act with some respect and maturity and not regress down to a child namecalling and negative comments about users. as a whole this thread has valid points but your desire to piss off everyone who likes the game by being immature lessens your comments imo

friendly debate and discussion about how good or bad the game is useful but atleast try keep it on topic and not aim abuse at certain members

I'm disappointed that its not really improving. And in terms of gameplay PES is just not as good as previous games on the PS2.
Better graphics and more teams wont make a better game. And I really dont think that PES 2010 is the best game of the series.
I've always bought every new PES version without even thinking about it. And the last years I was just disappointed.

I just bought the game after finally having some spare cash, and I'm quite disappointed. The game doesn't flow realistically, and I'm a firm believer that the animations don't have to be perfect for the game to flow.

Meh, I flat-out prefer FIFA atm, just seems to play better imo.

Fifa and Pes are both shit. I have always bought PES but that won't be the case next year. Muzza, Konami must love having fanboys like you onboard, and all that bullshit about moving into a new building (hahahaha) and development team blah blah blah. That only adds to the amount of annoyance and anger people will feel when they buy another sub-par offering from Konami when they thought that the afore mentioned points will go a long way to making the next game better..anyone believing this is a tool anyway. And anyone saying they dont give a f*** if this guy buys the game again or have seen this thread 3.9 million times before...simple...fuck off and stay out of the thread then...not everyone stalks these boards and maybe we didnt catch the same thread the last 3.8 million times.

Seems there is much more rant than last year even. Back then the game at least had some positive feedback :D

I hated it with all my heart last year so let's see what my reactions are this year. Do we still have the option to import our own photos in the edit mode?
