I have PES 2012 in UK!!

So, the postman knocks my door and there is was... PES 2012!! I haven't played this series since PES6 because I felt it kind of went a bit downhill. Before that, I'd have considered myself one of the biggest PES fans EVER! Fair play to those of you that stayed loyal whilst I went off and had joyless experiences with Fifa, up until Fifa 10 (wasnt too bad) still didnt feel as good as prime Pro though, nowhere near. ANYWAYS...

The king is most certainly back, I git the US import and I was worried the commentary was going to be Spanish, I was worried that it wouldnt work etc... but its all fine. Jon Champion and Jim Beglin are there, the game is as smooth as hell and its just perfect really! I've turned my game speed down to -2 and it is as good as it gets. Don't get me wrong, i have no problem with the default speed but I just think its so realistic at -2, give it a go if your doing career modes and stuff.

I'm desperately in need of downloading an option file for kits n stuff, I know that MrGameTight is doing them for US versions, just waiting until the EPL teams are ready... Its so good to be back!!!

No, just use a US option file.

Change your speed settings and put it on top player and I honestly dont think there has a more realistic footie game for years

Okay Glennon, I'm going out on a limb here, just ordered it from Ebay guy, just couldn't wait the suspense is killing me. Can you give me say two or three paragraphs of what makes it great, compare it to demo 2 if you can.

Is there player and team individuality, you play on Top Player yes, in the demo I noticed that there was individuality. Have you had a chance to play against a possession type team for example and a long ball type team?

I think I'll wait for the official UK release. Its only a couple of weeks.

No PS3 games are region locked. So any game from any country will work anywhere else.

HOWEVER. PES has always had different versions of the game in different regions. This is identified by the code on the spine. EU codes start with 'BLES' and US ones start with 'BLUS'.

The only discernible difference I have found is that when playing online, you can only play against people in the same region as wherever you bought the game. The problems behind this (from previous experience) is that if you have a US version of the game and play it in the EU, the lag is even worse than normal. Vice-versa for a EU version taken to the US.

Whether or not this will be the same in PES2012 is to be determined - but I would imagine that it would be the same as previous years.

Not really as there are loads of copies sold on ebay for the us version. However if you read sminky's quote from PESfan.com you''ll release that there is no advantage to buy a us copy if you're from the uk due to online lag.

Also most of the OP files that will include the championship and EPL will be catered towards the uk code. So really it's best to just wait instead of wasting your money due to impatience.
