MatTheCat's 'Premium Blend' Chants Pack (With corrected club's kits/badges)

As everyone knows, Konami get Japanese Downes-syndrome patients on day release to do the crowd and stadia sounds for their widely famed ProEvo soccer games. Whilst console gamers can just reach for the mute button and bang on some background music instead, we lucky PC gamers have the option of installing one of the many chants-packs floating around the internet. So welcome to MatTheCat's Premium Blend (for those who know the difference) Chants Pack.

I have selected only the best quality chants from all the best known sources, then fine filtered and refined them before freshly packing them into this fine chants (+kits) pack for your enjoyment!

In this pack:

*There are no chant files that sound as though they were recorded on back of a minibus!

*No chants with one squaky irritating voice being heard above 1000's.

*Duplicates have been kept to an absolute minimum and no 2 teams have same playlist!

*Other annoying chants (according to taste of the pack compiler) have been eliminated!

*Chants will not play continuously throughout match without ever letting up, due to inclusion of dummy files. Tests have discovered that this combats 'Chantspack Headache Syndrome' very effectively, especially when playing with same team for a long period of time.

*All chant audio files have been normalised in order that they do not overwhelm the other in-game atmospheric elements. THis means that when you score a goal, the roar will be at least as loud, if not louder than any chant that was being sung prior to goal. This includes AWAY goals also providing you install Diego Martinello's GOAL-SFX file.

*Corrected club kits and all club team badges are included courtesy of the GRANDBLEU Relink patch 1.3

*This pack DOES NOT mess around with the default team and/or player allocation slots in the game. There are no deleted or 'moved' teams and no player stats have been touched.

This chants pack is best enjoyed with the in-game commentary either turned to 'off' or half volume, the main volume turned UP^!

Instructions:

A MatTheCat ChantsPack
1. Unpack chantpack into a folder of your choice
2. Start AFS Explorer and go to menu FILE - IMPORT AFS File
3. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES
4. From your PES 10 img folder open dt01.img (backup it first)
5. Go to Action > Import Folder and choose the folder with the unpacked files.
6. Answer Yes to questions and the file will be opened.
7. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES
8. Now save the "dt01" as "dt01abcdefg.img"
9. Wait for end of rebulding and answer Yes to the next questions
and the file will reloaded
10. Close AFS Explorer
11. Remove your old "dt01.img" and rename the "dt01abcdefg.img" as "dt01.img"

B. Diego Martinello Goal + SFX Patch

1.Repeat and Rinse as above, but change dt03 instead of dt01

C. GRANDBLEU's Kits and Badges (EPL + la LIGA + Serie A)
1. Repeat and Rinse, but this time with dt0c!

*Finally, in order that the relinked kits, badges, and a few chants are assigned correctly, copy n paste the PES2010_EDIT.bin into your Konami save folder

i.e MyDocuments\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2010\save

UPDATE 1.1

After spending most of a day compiling my chants pack I realised that Konami's droney headfucking chants where still at large, and rife amongst the smaller clubs.

So instead of completing a well earned Champions League tournament. I felt compelled to produce a further small pack to totally eliminate the work of Konami' Down-syndrome suffering football chants compiling crew.

Providing you use AFS explorer instead of Kitserver, then it works with 1.01 patch and will work with any Konami update.

The reason why many patches dont work with Konami updates is because they mostly use Kitserver for ease of installation. Kitserver works by tying itself to the PES2010.exe file, so when the PES2010.exe is updated and Kitserver is not, this means that patches wont work.

However, use AFS explorer, and the patch will work with any Konami update. Although with each update you will need to recopy the PESEDIT_1.bin (supplied with pack) file into your save folder.

Question:
I use Sammy_k_84 option file and i prefer that one.
is it possible to not use GRANDBLEU's Kits and Badges and only use the chants pack?

That would depend on what Sammy_k_84 has done to his option file.

Providing he has not totally relinked all the teams and changed all their slots to fit in other teams i.e. Bundesliga or Championship, etc. then the chants pack will work more or less fine. In this chants pack, there are just 5 teams who required their chants (or cheering stance) relinked through the in-game editor. In the copy of Tommsen's chants map which is included in the bundle, you will be able to easily tell which teams you will need to relink the chants for yourself in the games EDIT Mode. (Its Aberdeen, Aston Villa, Heart of Midlothian, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur). So with Sammy_k's option file loaded, you would need to go into:

>EDIT>EDIT TEAM>ASTON VILLA>EDIT CHEERING STANCE>APPLAUSE BASED>SAVE

and then follow process for other 4 teams listed selecting the relevant cheering stance in order that the Chants Pack fits.

I was really looking forward to trying this out, however I cannot locate the "PES2010_EDIT.bin" in the files I downloaded? Also when I opened the original file which was in three parts it complained about an "early end of file".

Needless to say all your work is vastly appreciated, but would be more so if I could actually get it to work!

The PES2010_EDIT.bin file is in the save folder.

If you are using winRAR to extract the files then I can only assume that your copy has not been properly downloaded.

Did you download it from Filefront or from the Newsgroups link?

I know for a fact that Newsgroup files are sound and I haven't yet anyone complain about the Filefront one and I know that quite a few people have gotten hold of it in full working order.

If I find out that the files have been damaged at source then I will re-upload it.

P.S. If u do get it to work then it is best that you also get the update as well as this sorts out all the generic chants which most teams have assigned to them.

i can't download from filefront, when i press download file it goes to another page where it says "your download will begin, if not, click here" and from there it goes to the main page where it says "download file" again. if i click "click here to download" it's the same. what's the problem?

hi Mat, your chants really sound the business from your description... i'm on ps3 so i can only use them in mp3/wav format. is the compressed file in your link a bunch of mp3s/wavs? i was thinking i could just pull the sound files out and use them on the ps3

hi mat,

i actually managed to download the chants pack. but i have a question: i have adx plugin installed in winamp and i listened to some of the chant files. however, there are some chant files that are 0:19 seconds long and just plain silence. no chants. are those put into the files on purpose? and when i open the game and try to listen to those files with preview cheering stance option in edit team mode, they are silent as well. i couldn't figure out if it was on purpose or not. and i seem to have some downes syndrome chants still even though i did the remedy. what might be the problem? i'm playing with pes2010 v1.00

im sure this is a great patch but im sure many like myself decide to look elsewhere once they look at how complicated it is to install this patch ,i mean look at everyone elses patches how easy they are to install
okay they may not have the chant packs but still this would deffo be the most popular patch if only it wasnt abit more copy and paste ..
i mean look at last years prob most popular patch "smoke patch" was easy to install
and that had chants with it too and whole new leagues

Sheisse! I thought I had edited that Adebayor song out from Arsenals slots. Have to fix it with an update at some point. Yeah, u can edit music the same way that u can edit crowd sounds (tunes are in the same folder). To find the slots use AFS and Export dt01 file to folder on ur harddrive and search away.

@Bushwacker.
Yes, as indicated in my opening post, the blank files were deliberate. Listen to the default chants or another chants pack without blank slots and u will see why I done this. In my installation, I have not yet come across any team that has not been positively affected by my pack, although I did leave one or two of the original chants in, especially for teams that I had no chants for i.e. China, Saudi Arabia and some generic slots. However the original chants (in remedy) have all been normalised and blank files have been included.

The chants files are in adx format but u can use a converter such as ADX converter to chnage them into .WAV files and then there are many other programs widely available to cenvert .WAV into mp3.

I assume u are refering to packs that use Kitserver? There is no reason at all why this pack cannot be used with kitserver (i.e. drag n drop) but I recommend AFS as that directly patches ur PES install other than tying itself to the PES.exe which goes out of date everytime Konami release an update. Also, I dont like patches that mess around with transfers, players, creating new teams, deleting other teams, changing team slots etc etc. As this really messes things up when Konami release updates and also I like my offline setup to be the same as my online setup.

Furthermore, I really dont think that using AFS explorer is hard to do....a few clicks, then repeat for other patches included and your done.
