The jonboyo patch works fine using this.

It works by putting the little tools in the right holes in the PS2 so the PS2 thinks the lid is closed then you just put in the swap magig disk then once thats loaded take it out and put your patched pes in (thats for the slim PStwo, I imagine it's very similar for the older version PS2)

That only applies to the CD version of Swap Magic. I'm guessing you will be using DVD-/+R which doesn't really matter at all.

i saw a video of how 2 use the slide card but ium kind of worried if iaccidentally break the front cover and cant put it back on it again to play my other games so wat do u think plz cud u tell me have any of u used it perfectly.

Hmmm... i followed the swap magic guide and it turns out that when I pop in winning eleven8:LE, it says "not a valid ps2 disc"

i am thinking of importing we9. i am in the US currently and have a ntsc ps2, after looking at different methods, i figured i'll try the swap magic disks and the slide card.
all i am interested in playing are imports not backups, so is it a good method and does it enable playing all imports(mostly jap)? and also does the slide card ruin the ps2 tray in any way?

I just bought a fliptop lid for my ps2 online today. I have an old school v.1 ps2, so it was tough to find something that is compatible (and the idea of the swap card makes me nervous) but i luckily found one that will work with the 10 screw older versions. HOpefully it works.

is it possible to do the swap trick without the slide card?? ie make a homemade 1? i followed the "knife-trick" link but the pics wasnt working on the website to print out a template etc, can any1 recommend a way even if i have to use paper clips! i cant seem to find a site which doesnt look dodgy that sells swap magic or even the modchips, how hard is it to play backup games!!! i so badly wanna play pes5 patched!
