My Barcelona formation, few tips needed.

Iv'e just registered to the forums , and I find some of the posts very useful, I was wondering if I could get some help sorting out my formation.

I play with Barecelona , the image in the link shows the Attack/Defence of the squad.

I was wondering about Eto'o, should I place him as a SS or CF in this formation.

Do I have any better players I can open with, or substitute during the game ?

Maybe a change of the midfielders would help me getting better positions ?

Generally I play alright with this formation, but I do not get chances to shoot from distance, so I have to get from the sides or long balls to the centre.

I'd reccomend playing eto'o as CF, maybe move him forward 1 space as well. Personally I like to play a front three of giuly on the left, eto'o in the middle, and messi on the right.

I play a midfield 3 of ronaldinho on the left, motta in the middle, and either xavi, or iniesta on the right.

My back 4 is Deco LB, Thuram CB, Puyol CB, and Zambrotta RB. If I'm playing a team with a really good right winger e.g. ronaldo I'll put Puyol as LB, and bring marquez in as CB.

This formation I have found gives the best balance. I think Motta is the best option as dmf, as he is faster, and a better passer than marquez or edmilson. He's also a capable tackler.

About Deco LB , he got some defence skills ? Never tried him back there, how about Gudjohnson ?

Crikey! Never noticed abidal was at barca before, thanks. Although having played with him as france, I think he is very underrated in the game, as he was one of the best defenders of the world cup in my opinion.

Deco has better defensive skills than sylvinho, and isn't to slow either, although it's certainly not ideal.

I think gudjohnsen isn't fast enough to play up front for my tastes, he is a good option in midfield, but not better than deco, motta, ronaldinho. So I don't tend to use him.

Abidal, in real life, is at Barcelona but in PES6 that's not the case. I prefer to put Van Bronckhorst LB as he seems more comfortable on the ball than Sylvinho, plus he links up pretty well with ol' Horseface. On top of that if he manages to get close to the box he has a pretty good shot.

Eto'o is probably your most potent striker so CF I'd say.

This is Pro Evo 6 i'm talking about: You need to have Eto as the CF, he's best suited there. Ronaldinho has worked a charm as SS for me. Messi should go in the midfield, probably as a winger. Deco to go as CMF... and for long free kicks. Thuram, Puyol as the CB's with Zambrotta and Marquez on the flanks. Van Bronchorst plays well as a DMF. Saviola and Giuly can fit into the team as AMF whilst I tend to use Gudjohnsen as a pinch hitter off the bench.

i always find the best thing to do take out xavi replace him for toure
put ronaldinho in the place of deco and put henry in it works for me but most people kike what they like oh and play 4-3-3 mate

Id usualy swap Toure, Xavi for Iniesta and Deco if or when they get tired, works out grand for me.

Thats good thinking actually m8, first team for me would be deco and xavi with iniesta and toure as backup !!

like how you signed Naka for Barca, - he doesnt seem as good this year though.

Here is my barcelona formation, use it online and can be unbeatable at times. 4-3-3 as defaulted. move 2 support strikers out far wing and create a centre forward. play ronaldnho lwf, henry rwf, eto cf, play messi in midfield. is brilliant when playin through balls down the wing!!!!!

Yes, but my post was before the new pes came out. Henry would be the obvious candidate to replace Giuly. Although I never play with Barca anymore, as I find having Valdes in the side is like giving your opposition a 2 goal head start.

I've been playing 3-2-5 with Man U online recently, and am yet to lose a game with that formation.

Personally i like the second one because both Henry & Eto'o plays and Messi & Ronaldinho on the wings with Yaya at defensive midfield Xavi & Deco 2 attacking midfield.

Keep your formation but move the DM back a bit, move the CM up a bit and to the right and move the AM forward a bit, so the centre-circle is almost covered! The move the wing-forwards out to the wings a bit. Your players:

Valdes, Abidal, Zambrotta, Thuram, Puyol

DM-Xavi, CM-Deco, AM-Ronny

LWF-Messi, RWF-Henry, CF- Eto'o
