no it isn't.

This doesn't mean that you'll be able to play Direct-IP-matches or matches via a KONAMI-Server.

You'll only be able to play against someone who connects his Network-card with yours :)

But I think it's better than nothing and editor will certainly find a way how to edit the game so that we can play against fans from all over the world ;)

The red writing only says.. "Only necessary in the case of network matches" - it refers to the asterisked system requirements. The two boxes of text are, as I'm sure you can work out, minimal and recommended requirements. It says that 64kbps network cards are OK, but 1.5mbps cards would be best.

OK. KONAMI announced that you'll be able to play against a PC which is connected with his network-card to yours. So they didn't say that you can play against people from all over the world.

But "TheWolf" from soccergaming.tv said that it'll be easy to create a mod that will let us play via Direct IP, because the software that enables the game already exists!

I'm pretty sure the PC version will be internet ready, because 64k is basic ISDN internet while 1.5Mbit is DSL, besides the slowest network card you can find is 10mbps or 1000kb compared to 150kb of 1.5mbit so that 64k (6kb) refers to the internet speed most likely.

Hello Number Nine, if you find a way to play against each other, pls tell me. I am looking forward for PC version of WE8. I do have PS2 but prefer better display by PC.
