well i know one guy that will be happy.
i for one think that with this option the stats won't mean that much anymore cause you will be able to make any player make runs he wouldn't dream of in real life.
if you are able to master it and have a footballing brain you will be able to create endless opportunities by spotting the gaps and triggering the runs.
the team you are controlling won't matter that much.
that's worse case scenario, so lets hope it won't be that way.
That's one of the massive flaws of the right analog stick system, that because the 2nd player can do anything at any given team, he will make runs that he would not dream of in real life. Solid point.
That's why I think that a preset script is the better answer. Player individuality can determine the range of things that the player can do without the ball, therefore a player like Xavi Hernandez would be equipped with more directions of off the ball movement. It would be a similar concept to the player individuality in terms of passing accuracy, but applied to the footballing brain of the players.
And since a preset script cannot be changed when in possession of the ball. This would mean that the 2nd player cannot do anything at any given time. Which would make the game more realistic, because the player would not move as if he had a GPS in his brain.
But to be honest. I still see the right analog stick system as a positive thing, because it serves as the starting point of something new and potentially revolutionary.
