quote from Davking "as somebody wrote on another forum its to do with these boot adverts popping up in mL. so forcing everybody to play the japanese role playing game final fantasy league. good old konami 1 step forward 2 steps back.
as they say on dragons den i cant invest in this so i'm out!!!"
So you see it is to do with Konami forcing their will on its customers..(there is advertising in the ML or have you not realized??).I Don't buy this argument about disk space ..it is not going to take much disk space to incorparte a few leagues..it,s not like you making new teams just a format (MODE) in order to play in a certain format
NOT GOOD ENOUGH
A quote from someone called Davking, who is apparently quoting something another person said, is pretty much proof that Konami are imposing a role playing-esque football game upon us? C'mon. Get a grip. Just because someone says something that another person said who is probably just a fan like you and I, that's now being quoted as almost gospel? It sounds ridiculous.
I can understand your frustration to an extent oggmeista, as you've specifically said you enjoy the 'multiplayer' aspect of playing within a league. But it seems strange for others to flat out criticise the decision when they themselves are simply referring to using League Mode to play "single player". Then to top it off, stating that the introduction of "different/unlockable boots" completely ruins PES 2013 on the whole, and as such, they will boycott the game and will encourage others to do the same. How ridiculous does that sound?
There's far less complaints in relation to gameplay this year, and that in itself is huge. This is in my honest opinion, the most solid and satisfying gameplay PES has had since probably PES6 on the Xbox 360 or even as far back as the last-generation consoles. Sports games often are repetitive, and as such, what is most important is gameplay, and Konami have nailed the gameplay this year. Is PES 2013 perfect? Absolutely not, no way. I don't think I even believe in the concept of a perfect game, but for the most part, PES 2013 delivers where it matters most - on the field.
As for the "boots feature" this year. It does indeed seem quite weird, I'll admit that. But at the same time, I'll always try to look for the positives within situations, and currently, I feel it could provide a touch more longevity to the game and it's ML modes. It gives the player an extra incentive to continue, through unlocking boots, training equipment etc. So in that respect, I quite enjoy earning 'rewards' as I would consider them. But ultimately, it doesn't have a massive effect, which is why I find it difficult to take people seriously who claim to be enraged by the new boots feature, because it's just so trivial.
