Hi all,

It is me again, and I am here to bitch.

NBA2K 11 and Madden series are the best sports simulation games.
NBA Live, FIFA suck big time since the 90's and in every release

I would like to congratulations Seabass aka "jack ass" for bringing on a FIFAlized version of PES which is PES2011, finally we lost all the freedom we had in PES which made the game a bit fun to play in the older years. For now I think we have to wait and hope for a 3rd company to come up and release a proper soccer simulation game since KONAMI and EASPORTS turned out as SCIENCE FICTION KIDDOS GAMES MAKERS.

Please explain what you mean by saying that there is no freedom left in PES?

I'm guessing you say that because it's a popular phrase, but you have really no clue what you are talking about.

First of all, i think you should stop GUESSING.

Freedom means the following:

1- the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint
2- exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc
3- the power to determine action without restraint.

So freedom in a game of soccer would be as follows:
1- Being able to move your players freely on the court in every direction at any time without having any kind of other forces acting against that will. In PES, the players tend to approach the ball when the ball is near them, even if your cursor gets on the player, it keeps on drifting from where you want him to be especially with the shitty buggy through pass where your defender becomes only a stupid monkey and runs away from the ball to give room to the attacker for a 1 on 1 against the keeper. This is a fundamental error in the game and ruins 90% of the realism.

2- Freedom to pass/shoot the ball anywhere on the pitch/goal. In PES that is not possible because the passes/shots are doomed to go certain pre programmed places on the pitch.

3- The relation ship between the ball and a player, the ball is one entity and the player should be a different entity. In PES, you feel that the ball and the player's feet merge as one entity.

Those 3 fundamental errors in PES remind me of the whole FIFA and NBA live series since 90's. You end up with an action game (similar to some kind of shooter games, you buy a soccer simulation game and you end up with a science fiction kiddo script where the matter of winning is by pressing more buttons, having fast monkeys, abusing glitches and bugs and being unrealistic. Where being realistic and playing soccer as it should be played will let you lose or at least draw with a moron who doesn't know what soccer is.
