Online teams idea

i know about people continusly playing as barca and inter and i know people always complain about this and people scoring cutback after cutback and i know its a pain!

However ive just had an idea:

How about a "points system" like teams like barca being locked at the start and needing curtain points to unlock teams to play online cause i think this would get rid of players like this

oh man this is exactly what i was thinkin today wen i was playin online. and yep it should definitely be like this coz it would force people to try out different teams and make playing online much more interesting. its a great idea man.

if they are so crap and boring that they just wanna go barca / inter so be it, yeah its annoying and boring but they are obv crap at the game

Thats why i refuse to play ranking games and just play friendlys as i like to select a random team an play, gets boring as ranked games people just care about points an go barca an just run

at least a friendly people sometimes go a few different teams an can have a better game

Well think its all irrelevant as the game can hardly play at alllllllll on line but i understand what your sayin, but hey its a way of life.

I have not played yet online, I was hoping this would have been avoided though as FIFA is just Barca, and Man U over and over again.

If I find someone that's willling to choose a lesser known club, I always match them strength wise with a club I choose, and then add them as a friend.

There have been similar ideas bounced around on this site already. This is a bit diffferent, but I'm not sure I follow. If you have to unlock higher ranked teams, then would you only get matched up with teams equal to you, or are you going to be Herenveen and have to play against someone who has unlocked Barca? Unless it was somehow structured properly, this would probably just make things way worse, and could also limit the # of online matchups - which would suck for us in North America, where there aren't enough players online to begin with (not that online works half decent, btw).

I think a better solution would be to be able to choose a mode where you can only choose from similarly rated teams after the first player chooses their side (after a coin toss to see who gets to pick first). My belief is that the reason so many people use Barca is because they know that if they don't, the other guy will. If you could pick Werder Bremen, knowing that the other guy would have to pick a similarly skilled team, then it might work. In fact, it might keep you from choosing Barca, because it woudl mean that the other guy would pick a strong team as well. There are other options to resolve this, including the idea of having a ML-like set up where you build your team through online matches, but that has problems as well.

Anyway, I definitely agree that something like this would be great for next year's version, and I have a feeling that Konami is aware of the problem, since it has been mentioned quite a bit. Here's hoping.
