I think this deserves a thread of it's own so everyone knows the rules...
Ideally it would be great if everything that was created was freely available, but as someone who sinks more time into editing PES than playing it (or any other game) I can fully understand why people may want a payment/donation for the time/work they have done.
The only thing we actively discourage on this site is links such as adlfly, not because of earning money, but because they can hide links to viruses/trojans, if someone wants to ask for payment/donations for their work via Paypal that is fine.
Again this is my personal thoughts, but asking for a payment/donation is no different to people posting things on Youtube. Yes technically other than your time it costs you nothing, but still that person is making money out of providing editing content.
Just as an example (& kind of the whole reason for this post) , is if Muta uploaded all of his J-League faces to Youtube he would get more money than asking for a 7.99 euro payment for full team imports but it would take you 24 hours+ to do that rather than the 20 minutes (or maybe less) to just import them.
It all comes down to choice, if you don't want to pay then don't, but don't complain & do the work yourself with what is available here & on on other forums.
Just as a disclaimer I would like to say that I tried the paid content route & for all the work it wasn't worth it. For PES2013 I offered people the chance to pay $5 for weekly updates, all of this was freely available at the end of the week. I have also done a similar thing over the last few months where I have offered the chance to people to ask for certain teams at $10 a go that I have donate to charity. This is my personal choice & I won't begrudge anyone else making different decisions.
That's about it, I may add a poll to the thread in the next few days, but it could mean the site losing a lot of content.
