Please Help!

I am having problems trying to play pes08 at network. I have Huawei E220 modem. It wont let me trough, so the game gives me the regular error (which is processed in the first thread) "UDP 5730 port can not connect" etc.
So how do I get it work? I dont know how to forward the port for this modem (have tryed to find instructions from internet with no succes). Does some one? or is there another way to get the game work?

Firewall or antivirus doesn't block the games connection to network. I am using Vista premium and the Huawei E220 modem uses vodafone mobile connect software.

Any help appreciated..

Hey there! I am Aris, from Greece!



I have one problem in the game, I don't know if it's written before, there were too many pages I had to read here...

I install the game normally, without any problems... But when I'm going to play the game, it starts normally, I see the "PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2008" screen (the one with the logo at bottom left), I see next the "KONAMI" screen, but after this the game crashes!
I load the Task Manager, and the program is not responding, so I shut it down...

It happens ALL THE TIME and I have tried it with many original discs...


I don't know what to do...

This is my computer, if it helps:

Pentium Dual Core @ 2GHz
GeForce 8600
Windows XP Professional SP2
2GB RAM

I think it's a stong enough system to play the game...

It starts showing a movie after it shows the Konami screen so you can either possibly bypass it by pressing a key/button on the Konami screen to prevent it going there or check your codecs - not sure which one is used for videos in PES - to ensure full compatibility with the game.

Yes, I know about the movie, I've played the game in other systems... In mine, I can't see the movie, the program crashes just after KONAMI screen...

About the codecs... You mean the video card codecs? If so, I've downloaded the latest, but the problem remains... Perhaps you mean something else, I don't know...

By codecs I mean those such as the DivX codec which allows you to view movies which use DivX compression. That sort of thing.

You're talking about graphics card drivers which yes, you should have the latest of.

Hi, just wanna ask in Vista, are cv_0.img and the other PES .img files located in the same directory as on Windows XP?
I haven't properly used Vista before but I remember that the Program Files (or Applications) Directory was slightly different than the PC's.

I am asking this for a guy in the patching threads that has some problems locating the .img files on his PC.

Hi I am haveing trouble instaling the afs file. This is the error message I get C:\Program Files\Konomi\ProEvolutionSoccer2008\img\AFSexplorer_3_7.rar is not a valid win 32 application.
I am running vista OS any ideas many thanks

PES Install problem

I have downloaded a demo version but i have problem with installing it. Installator tells me that i have not enough space on hard drive and exits. I have currently over 8 gigs free so i dont undesrstand it. I tried googling but i havent found a solution yet:((

i just bought a new desktop:
motherboard:ASUS P5K SE
graphic:ASUS EN8600GT SILENT 512mb
PROC:intel core 2 duo 3.00 ghz
monitor:ASUS 22 tft wide
ram:2X1gb

so i have a big problem.When the game starts everything is fine.i play the first match and mostly of the times in the second match everything moves in slowmotion.it is unlikely that you can play with it.
i have installed the patch 1.2.i have tried many different resolutions with every possible combination of v-sync and frame skipping but nothing.After a while slowdown again.
any idea?
im desperated i'd really appreaciate any help
P.S. i can play without problem f.e.a.r. and nfs carbon in the same pc

Hi,i am facing a problem here.

I successfully installed PES2008 in my laptop,but when i press PLAY on the autorun or i press to start game through desktop icon,the game doesnt start,nothing pops up and dvdrom just run for few seconds then quiet.

what should i do? i tried uninstall and reinstall and also change the settings..

Anybody have sudden lags in the game?

For some reason the game has started to lag ridiculously every single time I try to play.

It would stop for 2 or 4 seconds, then go back.

Anyone experience that?

Edit: Ok i just fixed it LOL.

Removed wait for Vsync

I've had it on before and never had this problem until recently. Weird. Unless somehow the game automatically did it when I didn't want it to?

Haha whatever I got it to work now :D

hi...

Ive been playing pro for agggggessss on pc and everythings fine...however...these past days it freezes...then i cant restart my computer, when i finally manage to..i click on pes 2008...it goes black...and you see the little PES 2008 with circles coming out of it in the lower left side...it don't even move...which causes my computer to flip!.....i meet the required specs even go over them.....i always play on high detail without a problem........at first i suspected it was something to do with the cpu usage...because on pro its constantly 80-100%...but surely not because i play other games which take up this much and they don't flip...please help......

Trying to play with Konami Patch v1.20

First of all my PC specs are:

Asus Striker Extreme Mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
EN 8800 GTX V-Card
Seagate HD SATA, Western Digital, Total 410 GB
Kingston Value Ram 2 Gigs
XP Home, SP2

I just got a copy of PES 08 from Playasia.com the Asian version for the PC, but it is in English, Konami didn't make the PC version for the US this year, so when I patch the game with the Konami v1.1 or v1.2 patch and click on the desktop icon to play the game it says the game is not installed, all after I tested the game right after I put it in, but before I put the patch in, Also when I try to put the Patch in using the auto-installer I get the 1628 error message "installation failed" any ideas??

Hi everyone,


I can't get PES2008 to run! It says my PC doesn't meet minimum requirements (Or my Video Card doesn't meet the necessary specifications (64MB)).

Could this be a problem with SLI? Because I have two cards in my system (Both 8800 Ultras)

I heard as well the game can't run on systems with more than 2GB of RAM (I have 4GB), but that patch 1.2 fixed this. Only I can't install any patches either! 1.10 and 1.20 both end with error 1628

(I'm running Vista 64 Bit too btw)

Anyone know what I can do?
