PC Troubleshooting Thread (PES 2009 FULL GAME ONLY)

I am trying to install from scratch fella but I was going down the option file route rather than the patch because I thought it would save time since we were only looking for a quick fix at the time.

I downloaded that smoke patch too though in the meantime so if I install that will do the update aswell, is that what you're saying?

Nope, update the game first and then install the Smoke patch. I know it works with 1.30, not sure if it works with 1.40 or whatever version we're on now but its definitely working fine for me minus Wolfsburg, Koln and perhaps others.

Ok so I better back this up a bit because somethings not working out right for me. In game I went to network and registered an account, entered the details and it brought me to a web page where I downloaded the update, ran that and all seemed to go well as far as completing it but when I load the game back up it still tells me I'm running an older version and won't load the option file.

Set back city. :/

I downloaded the 1.3 (if not 1.4) update outside of the game and applied it that way.

Another thing, despite having a decent machine the game is running with a smell of choppage off it, it's ever so slight but it's there and that's pain for me. Would this be down to the screen resolution I'm using?

I get the slightest bit of choppiness now and then which for me is just the game being badly coded when games far more graphically intensive are fine. It depends how much it is happening but if its only some occasional, momentary chopping which does nothing but make you shake your head at Konami, consider it normal.

can anyone help me with carrying out the upgrade to version 1.00.04 ? It tells me to do this, I have to restart my machine, which I do .. but no upgrade .. hmmm

hello everybody! im very new to this forum but ive been playing PES for as long as i can remember. ive always preferred it to fifa. well, here's my problem:
i just got a new graphics card, right? (a Sapphire HD4870) and then i installed vista, erasing XP. but then PES 2009 doesnt run in vista! and ive got too many saved games and goals to never see them again! HELP!

the game loads OK, the videos come, and when it says "press any button", and i press any button, it crashes to desktop. this has never happened to me before, and some friends of mine are playing PES 2009 on vista OK.

(i thought that ntdll.dll might be the problem, so i downloaded it and put it in the windows system folder, but then it does nothing!)

my PC specs:

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate
Motherboard: MSI P35 Neo
Ram: Kingston 1GB X 2
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD4870

Had this exact same problem with the same errors coming upp after the game plays the intro videos then crashes. But its working now...... i UPDATED my windows vista, u should have a windows updater on ur pc. So search for updates and install important updates...shouldt take more than a few minutes. Restart ur system and make sure u uninstall the game and reinstall after the update is done. Also make sure ur grahics card driver is up to date.....that should do it. Trust me

Hey, I have this problem where I can't set it to high quality as it says it cannot be reflected due to my video card's specifications. What does that mean? I can only put it on medium, I had it on high quality before.

how can i import chants for pc version? can it be done in the in-game editor?

Id like to know the same kind of thing really . Basically I have the 1.7.5 smoke patch installed but would like to change a few of the chants Like Man City to include Blue moon Can I do this is there a chants patch or individual chants and can this installed over the 1:7:5 patch?

I know its being a bit greedy as the smoke patch is excellent Is there somewhere where I could find these??
