perhaps your right about the admin here not being motivated to rig a poll...... maybe I have been spending too much time getting banned on www.pesfan.com for saying nasty things about konami.......On pesfan, they most certainly would rig any poll which showed PES or konami in a bad light.

Considering I spent a month slavering over the prospect of this game and massively enjoyed the demo with the patches I am mightlly pissed off with MESS2008. Hey, 1 player is a fantastic game if you just want to play to enjoy yourself...in 2 player you dont really get the option...play lame or die is the order of the day....but I would rather do neither, I would rather just turn the cunt off and do or play something else.

I even bought the fucking PES Guide for the first time ever same time I bought the game. The game has since been returned..The PES guide will sit on a shelf collecting dust with its 45 pages of fucking stats. and 30 pages of mostly useless information and misleading guidance.

Honestly, I think the game is great, big imrovement on graphics and gameplay. It's just all the fudging errors, false starts and online lagging, thats what bring the game down.

Or someone who just aint played it properly yet.....to all those who say they like it...go play a game or two online....select 7 men in your defense.....and watch with glee as Adriano and co waltz right through them as though they did not exist.

Obviously it's disappointing, but I am giving konami a second chance with the 2 patches set for release. I wont cast my vote until they have released these patches that will suposedly help complete the game.

If you were to lock me up in solitary confinement for a week then I would choose PES2008 over FIFA any day.

But if you were to lock me up in a cell for a week with a mate...then it would have to be FIFA. If we chose PES then the game would either never get played or one of us wouldnt be coming out that cell alive.

for me the game is definantley a hit although i can fully understand some peoples frustrations about the game. I dont play online and i never will but the game could suffer in multiplayer when playing a pes player who keeps his finger on the sprint button. the single player mode is superb and the series feels like pes again and i'm impressed with the graphics and gameplay.

PROS-
better editng options than last years pittiful options.
Gameplay feels like pes again
Animations, player models boot and kit textures vastly improved.
New stadiums are good.
I would give the game 9/10.

CONS-
Editing option still not to impressive although the basics are there.
Too easy for the CPU to score free kicks
some small aspects of the gameplay are dodgey and some games can be too open and abit arcadey.

Overall i love the game and have played it solid for a week now.

U COULDNT SCORE PLAYING 2 PLAYER????

Well, allow me to give you a little tip.

Get the ball to a top player....such as Henry, Ronaldo, Adriano, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, etc....(there are a good few more), and simply go on a mad dribbling spree. Keep running around in circles and sheilding ball until the opposition AI eventually all bunch up together like a band of raging homosexuals and leave a big gap for you to run through. Dont worry if there are one or two defenders sort of blocking your way as they will be sure to get out of your road and join the chain of 6-7 defenders nibbling away at your players heels to no avail. Please take note that you may be tempted at some point to pass the ball. Whilst this can be a viable option it is not really necesarry and you are only risking losing possesion of the ball. So best just to keep running with the ball until you have practically walked it into the net or you are at the touchline where an easy cut-back pass can then be safely played for the open goal.

Singey, like I said, there are two types of gamer that can possibly enjoy PES2008.

a) the lame little exploit poofter who should think themselves very lucky that I cant climb down telephone wires to stamp their fucking heads into their spunk stained bedroom carpets

b) those who dont really know the game that well can also still enjoy it.

You fall into category B.

P.S. oh i forgot. To score 9/10 corners, simply kick it vertically up the touchline making sure it is taken with player who will hit it with an outswinging foot. Then watch with glee as the keeper inevitably fumbles ball into own net or into path of oncoming striker.
