PES 2011 Online Cheaters List

**This first post has been editted. I have added my theory of how people cheat and what can be done against it at the bottom of the post**

*Please vote HERE to let Konami know how you think cheaters should be punished.

I am not sure if this thread will be successful, or have any impact whatsoever.

However, something needs to be done, and as the most active and passionate PES community, we shall start to compile a list of online cheaters and hopefully forward this list to Jon Murphy of Konami, who apparently wrote somewhere that Konami are to take serious action against cheaters.

THEORY OF CHEATING

Below is my theory on how people cheat, I cannot confirm if it is true.


It is only logical to assume that cheaters throttle their network inbound connection, either by massively uploading/downloading torrents or using software like netlimiter.

This way, it would seem as if the victim’s connection has dropped, even though it did not. The cheater only made it look like he did not receive information from the victim by not allowing him to send information through. The bandwidth was jammed.

SOLUTION

One simple and fair solution would be to execute the following algorithm immediately when disconnection occurs:

IF a game is ended due to disconnection

THEN, Konami Servers should check login status of both players, Player A and Player B.

The one who is not logged on, must have quit the game, and therefore loses 3-0 by default. (whether he disconnected intentionally or not, does not matter)

ELSE (if both are still logged on with their Konami ID’s), Konami Servers should PING check both parties, Player A and Player B.

IF Player A’s ping is erratic/laggy and Player B’s is constant and low, then assume Player A’s connection has been tampered with(either activated torrents, or blocked his incoming port number, or perhaps another computer on his network started to watch youtube videso, it does not matter, it is his/her responsibility to ensure his network functions lag-free) and will lose 3-0. (and vice versa of course)

IF both players’ pings are erratic or both are still OK, THEN and only then disregard the match as if it never occurred..

Something like above could sort out this cheating business, of course assuming they cheat the way I described above.

360 watch out for TrueVittorio he's Italian and a laughab le cheater. A top squad and I smashed him with the basic ML team (with Hulk, nobody else added yet). 3-0 up in the 80th minute and got the classic connection lost, which is basically the worst hack in football gaming history. Spoils the entire point of ML online really, but let's hope we can get some of these twats banned. Shocking at the game even when he's a world class team against a conferance style team, gotta laugh at these people.

Elpapirrin - ps3..just got paired up with him yesterday, and lets just say his squad is freaking stacked lol, his bench is probably better than my starting line up, and i have a 80m squad. he makes like 40mil a day without joining any competitions, also he is on a 240 game winning streak and with his skill i can honestly say thats not possible

Tried to score an own goal but conceeded a corner on the 85th minute when I was up 2-0. When I relised he was going to cheat I tried keeping the ball in my own half so he wouldn't get the ball. On the 90th minute he just disconnected. I've had enough and I've decided to stop playing PES online!

KONAMI should introduce a penalty system for disconnections perhaps allow 3 disconnections per week or something similar just to cover genuine connection losts.

I know, but the stupid thing is that when they do their little cheat trick, i cannot remember the name of the guy because Konami does not include such terminated games in your match history.

They always get away with it.

im new to PES online what are the signs of someone cheating in the MLO?

here are some examples of signs, not 100% proof, but pretty darn good signs:

-You are winning and in the 89th minute the connection terminates and either the opponent ends up winning 3-0, or the game does not count at all (you cannot even see it in your match history)

-The game just kicks off and the connection drops and same results as above.

-Apparently there is a sort of cheat specific to MLO tournaments, where people deliberately waste time by pausing the game in order to take advantage of some bad tie breaking criteria of Konami. I do not know more about this because I do not participate in tournaments.

-Before a Konami Server update last month, many people made illegal money by deliberately scoring 3 own goals within a certain amount of match time, in order to concede a loss, but still earn the same money won when lost legally. It might help to note that in MLO tournaments, you always get money if you lose, usually more than you get if you win a MLO quickmatch. However this has been sorted out, but there are still tons of people there who made millions and millions and are still to be punished.

I understand you completely, its an ethical issue.

I would like to think that the impact of this thread is not actually naming individuals, but more to get the attention of Konami.

If we, as a community of PES online players, show Konami that we are so fed up with cheaters that we actually bother to keep an updated and ever growing list, contributed by the hundreds of forum members here, they might take note of it and try to bring an anti cheat mechanism.

Please do not forget, I am counting on that one of the moderators here will inform Jon Murphy of Konami of this list, once its a bit longer.

Fair play for setting this up, i was actually about to do a pettition for everybody to sign to demand a change, then i came across this thread. Its a pure piss take. im in the D4 cup earlier today with 10 mins left of the tourney, need a win to make the last 16. go 2 nil up in the second half and the cheeky fook pauses the game at the end knowing he will win cause he had the higher rating. he was from italy and i told him exactly what i thought of him in his own tongue! love mlo but these boys are making it a joke, what enjoyment can u get out of pausing a game all the time to win by default??
Ok rant over!! lets get this sorted once and for all people. If they can release a patch fixing curor change, then they can do the same for the cheats.

I am not sure if this thread will be successful, or have any impact whatsoever.

However, something needs to be done, and as the most active and passionate PES community, we shall start to compile a list of online cheaters and hopefully forward this list to Jon Murphy of Konami, who apparently wrote somewhere that Konami are to take serious action against cheaters.

Not a cheater per se, but someone on the ps3 who I played started scoring own goals after I went 3-0 up, to get the game abandoned, accused me of lagging, then went on to subsequently accuse everyone that he lost to of lagging. Thing is, he was Italian and in the English server.... go to the Italian server if you want less lag!! ILBARONOSSO was his name.
