MY GOD!!!! Idk if its just me, maybe im awful at this game. But what has the second DLC actually changed in the gameplay? Player reactions are so slow its unbelievable. It feels like an arcade game. AWFUL. Did not improve it at all. Shooting outside the box 90 % of the time the goalkeeper catches it, and dont even let me get started on the Goalkeeers. The lag in the areas still exist!!! Konami fell off big time, the worst PES in histroy is without a doubt PES 2O14. Its too bad fifa isnt great either, cuz id like to play a great football game all year. Konami surprises me, do they even want to put the hard work in so the costumers enjoy their game like year before? Idk..maybe i need to change some settings in the game so it improves..but the refs still wont improve. Nothing will improve..and they didnt even come out with a game for ps4 hahaha its too much. Konami is struggling. Maybe its me, somebody tell me what settings i have to change so i enjoy this awful game. Why does the speed settings at +2 feel like im playing at -2?????? Jesusssssssssss

I enjoy PES2014 post patch very much, while I find pre-patch was awful, especially in online play.

We play Winning Eleven 2014 here, which is basically the same as PES2014 region 3.

Player reaction is 'slow' is more because of momentum in movement. You can't expect in real life driving a car 100 km/hr but can stop to a screeching halt without feeling of momentum carrying you away, right?

It took years for us to adapt and learn every nook and cranny of PES' game engine, from WE 2006 (?) to 2013. It was not easy to let go and learn something from scratch with the FOX.

With this new 2014 engine, I can't wait to see what 2015 edition will look and play like.

I personally think that 2014 is beautiful, with every bit of randomness, the momentum shift of player movement, even erroneous nature of goalies because the ball moves independently now.

But still, maybe this doesn't cut it for some. Still I saw a few of my friends still sticking to 2013.

I'm just wondering... Why?

All the buzzwords like realistic ball physic engine, realistic simulation system, momentum, inertia may be just a smoke-screen, a masquerade for the cunning, dirty cheating scripting mechanism behind the scene to confuse the player further when they were being disadvantaged unfairly by the CPU-playing-cheap and rubberbanding faked-difficulty scripting tricks.

"Momentum" is a word to convincingly justify handicapping your controlled AI players by delaying and therefore jeopardizing their (aka your) movement and reaction.

So you plan to still holding up to the past and playing 2013 for the next few years? :D

Seriously, once you get a grip of 2014's gameplay, beating Real Madrid in Super Star is a piece of cake.

Yes, I was still very angry about the new gameplay.

I don't know how you can beat Real Madrid in this game. The constant pressing, the slow movement and reaction, the crazy through balls etc...I could hardly made any turn of my player without either being dispossessed or tackled and fumbled and dazed...

ok... so I have decided not to get PES2014... for the 1st time ever I will not get a PES/WE... just can't see myself paying $60 for a product that has so many complaints... I'll just play PES2013 until I get tired of it... better luck next year on next gen Konami... Wake UP!
