I want to play with the Argentine league so I am not buying PES 2016 this year (and 2015 was the first I'd bought in years for that reason). I use PES Galaxy 4.1. I have an old laptop that has an ancient graphics card and the game would crash unexpectedly. It happened out of game, for example when I'd click on the negotations button in master league, or during substitutions, but mostly the crashes came from throw-ins and goal kicks. In certain stadiums, every time I had either the game would crash to the desktop (it would say the program was not responding). It says Windows is looking for a solution to the problem and usually doesn't find anything, but sometimes it does and when I click 'see details' this is what I get:

C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp\WER491B.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6CA3.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp\WER7C3D.tmp.mdmp

The numbers are always different, but it's the same message every time.

The throw-in/goal kick crash would only happen at these stadiums: Roma, Istanbul, Tokyo, Genoa, Napoli, Munich, and the San Siro (AC Milan). I counted 17 stadiums that did not have the crash (although every once in a long while it might happen, and of course replays and substitutions occasionally resulted in crashes), and the rest I didn't get a chance to try.

I was thinking that the problem was with the PES Galaxy patch, so I uninstalled the game and when I reinstalled it, I opened the DirectX .exe afterwards (I had never before in previous installations) and ran it. After that, the game worked smoothly (with the patch installed)! I tested a few games in the stadiums where there used to be crashes and didn't have any problems.

After that, I took a break from the game for few weeks. I defragged the disk drive at one point, and anti-virus/malware software is not an issue since the Konami folder is on the exclusion list of both programs. At one point I accidentally turned off my laptop while it was booting up (it doesn't have a battery) and afterwards, it started to boot up and it asked me if I wanted to run a repair mode or something like that or run windows normally (usually it asks for safe mode but it didn't that time) and I selected run window normally and hit enter. Maybe that had to do with it.

Whatever the case, now the game crashes again. A lot. But not at those stadiums the way it used to. Before, it was a rule that if I had a throw-in at Allianz Arena, it would crash (every time). Now there isn't anything in the game that always prompt a crash like that (I've tested some of those stadiums and they're fine), but it's a problem again. It crashed once while I was on 'game plan' making a substitution, another time right after I went to the main menu after a friendly, once on a goal-kick (and I had already had several that very game without any problem) and another time during my master league on some screen that I can't remember.

It might have been luck that none of the other times the game crashed but I think there's something wrong with my computer. Maybe the DirectX got updated or something like that (the .exe that I ran that I thought had fixed the problem was to make the DirectX a previous version that the game would run with, 10 if I'm not mistaken), or something happened when it got shut off during boot-up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
