I don't think there has been trophy celebrations in fifa since the fifa 2003 game i think. I Love pro evo for the trophy celebrations, gampelay and master league and oh my fifa 09 doesn't even work now :(

Anyway i am enjoying Pro Evolution very much though. Oh yes it is good see Manchester United is back for another season :) of Pro evo!!

To date FIFA's...

edit mode= Garbage/ non existant (Although you can edit generic staduim names this year and pick which teams gets which stadiums)

Trophy Celebrations= some of the worst Ive ever seen. (this will continue in fifa 10, which is quite disgraceful to be honest)

And yet its way ahead of pes. Fifa managed to tune their engine into producing more life like games of football, especially in the midfield where battles happen, players like pirlo and xavi can really run games from the centre circle and its a key factor in winning top games. That the secret right there, you can take pirlo into the centre circle and the CPU wont mindlessly rush you, he will sometimes leave you alone and keep in his space, it opens up different possibilities. Thats the secret to fifa's comeback, that engine allows tactical games of football, and they are trying to fine tune it all the time. Pes's doesnt allow jack shit but rush, run, shoot, twist, turn.

Also, the 360 movement thing on fifa effectively ended pes's challenge this year, nobody saw that coming and its the talking point of the year, whether it works or not, millions will but copies of fifa to try it out, because its innovative and never been done at that level. A couple jokers on here tried to pretend its irrevelant, but as i said from day one, that idea alone has created a light year in peoples minds between these 2 games.

Konami just cannot compete with that idea. Their only chance of sucess is that their game peforms all its features really well and fifa's are horrible and full of bugs.
I agree completely with where you are coming from tech_skill. I mean I've bought every fifa game since 1996 and they never game me a reason to Stop buying their product. Whereas I've been with konami since we9 and the game was so good that I bought pes2008 (which prevented me from buying pes 2009). Consequently, even though konami hasn't been promising lately I still want to buy their product. If you own any pes games I'm sure you should somewhat get where I'm coming from. Surely, there's something you love about PES

i understand people frustration but you cant be childish and say who cares and rip of everything they have read... like i said before make your mind up when you buy the game..... those who say it sound like a rip off of fifa are looking in bad spots... its about how you innovate ideas not emmulate...hapens in the car idustry all the time

I agree Alonso, Xavi and Iniesta look very good! But for me Tech has got it right! If Konami do not implement the 360 degree football, then millions will flock to buy Fifa 10 (me included), because it's too much of a 'next-gen' thing! PES will definetely lose if they don't implement it!

I've just read the magazine and I've got to say I'm excited. I'm really excited. Seeing that they've played a hands on look of the game already, I think it's safe to say that we should expect some gameplay soon.

Had a glimpse at the scans and from what I read, looks as if Konami are trying to make PES like FIFA. I think it's their way of "westernising" PES.

So no Eredivisie on PES 2010 then?

Yeh it doesn't look like Eredivisie is gonna be on it! But then again, I think most peeps will want the Bundesliga rather than the Dutch league! But still by not having the Dutch league they are alienating the Dutch peeps!

More licenses and fixed everything that was stupid in 2009? Me likey. Better graphics and many interesting, subtle changes? I'm sold. The ability cards seem useful, especially overlapping run. Seems like some players will now really resemble the way their real life counterparts play. I like the overall player rating and how they lose ability if played out of position, even though its a complete ripoff of Fifa. BAL seems like it'll be crazy fun in 2010. The mag mentioned they were using Hyppia in Liverpool which is troubling me. Hopefully they get summer transfers right as well.

And that closeup of Torres is just wow!

Dude about 2 years ago I was exactly the same, PES was the only game I really played, I fucking refuse to post on fifa forum because im not one of the morons that actually thinks fifa was anywhere near PES from about 96 onwards, and I been visting here for years (way b4 i posted). But Im not living in hope anymore that Konami are gonna get it right, when I can buy a better game elsewhere. Konami are clearly are lying to you people imo, I dont for one fucking second believe that game was in the making since pes2008, and if it is, so far its not looking great because I dont see the big innovations.

Every week on here I read "They are coming out with something amazing, they are just not telling us", but for me, they arent, these improvements are just a corrected PES 2009 and most of it is stuff they could have done on ps2 years ago, its not like the ideas are next gen and could only be implemented on these higher spec consoles. The bit about untucked shirts had me cracking up, because if thats a key improvement I really dont know what to say.

I gotta call it how I see it, thing about players flooding the box when a good crosser gets in there= nice, I like that idea, balanced ref, I like that too, the rest is dubious.

Im shocked you said that to be honest, but its cool.
Where the fuck is amatuer? Lets see what he says

Im not convinced at all by this shit, I mean, i dont doubt the fanboys on here are gonna buy this, even if it was a turd in a box some of you would still spend big money on it. But seriously.... can someone explain to me whats so fucking good about these changes, some of them are good, but there is nothing here to really get that excited about, most of it you can already do in fifa 09 for fucks sake, maybe pes will implement it better....

But this whole thing isn't making sense, one minute its "This game has been in the making for 2 years", well if this is all they have come up with in 2 years, there a serious fucking issue.

I expect the animations to be better but this clearly isnt shaping up to be the big comeback people on here said it was gonna be.

Why?
Anyway, I meant that if the game turns out like they said it will, then it will be awesome. But we still have to wait and see.
Also, even for fifa. We still have to wait and see how it turns out.
Both games are looking great. I hope they deliver some unique football experience in the end.

I can't believe that people are bemoaning the fact that PES have stolen a couple of FIFA's recent ideas. FIFA have been doing this to PES for years. Examples:

-The advantage rule was on PES first
-fix camera (precursor to BAP/BAL)
-Controls (remeber on FIFA when you had to fucking tap triangle to run for fuck's sake?)
-Power bar shooting
-Radar (which I consider crucial, but I know others don't)
-Player names at the bottom of the screen

Think of how different, and shit, football gaming would be without some of Konami's innovations. And didn't FIFA steal the slider tactics idea from Football Manager? There are others but my mind is blank at the moment. Help me out people!

Anyway, back on topic. This stuff looks very promising, to me they seem to have fixed the two major problems with gameplay, those being auto-slides and the ability to skin a whole team with one player.

That link for scans isn't working anymore.

There's some on this site here lads: http://pes2008editing.blogspot.com/2009/07/psm3-pes-2010-scans-leaked.html

These changes are a step in the right direction, recently I've been playing PES 6. The thing that pisses me off most about PES09 is the cheap goals that are conceded when playing the computer, the frustration is endless. The only goals they seem to score are rebound goals or FK's and CK's it's a fucking joke (especially on the top 2 difficulties). I just want a fair game of football, a fun game of football!

PES09 somehow managed too sap a lot of that fun from the series. I rarley ever score a goal that's left me with a smile on my face, I don't know quite how to explain it. I just want that back. This generation Konami have been promising this and that but at the end of the day none of us will know how we feel until the game arrives. They can add and remove all the features they want but for fuck sake Konami........... Just make the game fun to play again.

i had that problem after a while, but since i've started the master league again what i've been doing is not scoring easy goals and trying to create and score goals that are joyful to watch. i.e. anyone can run down the flanks, cut it back to another player and score, but you get a much better feeling when you play a crossfield trough ball and then have them chest it down and drop it short to another player who then plays a one-two to create yards of space down the right flank. and then have a cross whipped to the edge of the box to have gerrard smash it bottom corner.... these sort of plays make it more fun to play the game.

No doubt about it, fifa rippped off PES mercilessly, here's the difference, Fifa isnt the series in decline and it isnt nicking pes's minor ideas and then passing them off as headline changes. And my point is, that when Fifa makes its own ideas, they are shit, then when pes takes them they are "exciting".

Seeing people getting really excited over the same tactics slider you can get in fifa 09 is hilarious, and the PK system that has been in fifa for years. These are not next gen changes, this is stuff that already exists in another game.

Same way when fifa got the powerbar years ago, I didnt give a fuck, that shit has been in pes since day one.
