unfortunately not, you can only fast fwd the game. It's not a terrible option as they are encouraging you to watch the game and see whats happening. It's better than FIFA's option which only allows you to simulate if you get subbed...however in over 500 games on FIFA I was never on the bench once, so wouldn't know what it was like at the beginning of the game.
