Releasing default players that are worth most. Just have a starting 11 that can hit a ball and buy the players with overall around 20 to fill up the bench. That should net you about 4-5 mil. I see you have VDV so I quess you already did that. Other than that it's just about playing the tournaments and trying to finish as high a possible.

Started playing the MLO yesterday and really enjoyed it but i can't understand how so many users have incredible teams. I'm sure the game only came out a number of days ago? I have a decent record and have won most of the quick games that i have played but am struggling financially. I only managed to get into one competition yesterday which was a D5 cup but it was on coach setting. Needless to say with my team made up the starting players i didnt get very far. So far i have signed Barry and Forsell and apart from that have all of the standard players. Is the only way to make proper money to win the competitions? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Ohh yeh, i have sold most of the starting players in order to fund my extravagant signings of Barry and Forsell so i have already done that!
I'll tell you exactly how the majority of these guys have amazing teams my friend.
They entered competition after competition scoring 3 own goals in the first couple of minutes and getting the gate receipts for it.
Konami have put a stop to this now but haven't punished the people that have abused it up to that point!
In my experience the players with super teams are no good at the game anyway because they haven't been practicising actually playing it.
But its a big cheat that they get to learn to play the game properly with super teams vs default teams!
I have had an awful night in MLO this evening, had a 5 game run with out a win, conceded a last minute equaliser/ winner in 4 of those games. Made about £30,000 lol... However my fortunes have changed currently sat 2nd in D5 Cup, waiting to go to knockout stage, Should net me some good moneys. Higuain finally found his shooting boots for me! Beat one guy 5-0 when it I had 10 (8) shots on goal lol.

i've been having a good experience in MLO until this evening! played 3 games in which i was winning and between 85 - 90 minute in every game, the match gets abandonded... and i dont get win, the increase in points NOR the gate receipts!!
Has this happened to anyone else?? is there a way of putting a stop to it?!!
im really frustrated!!!
On another note, how do i enter a competition? everytime i go in one, its always full!

quick question for anyone reading that knows..
does MLO have player progression at all?
Im just starting out and wondering whether to go for shell out for established stars or play my preferred long term game and get in a bunch of budding young guns... If there is no progression theres no point right?

I had a shocker mid week last week looked doomed for relegation back to Div 5 but produced some stella performances once Tuncay was in my side. I really like the way you can have a relegation battle or promotion chase towards the end of the week. I'm playing so well that this week I'll be looking to get in to Div 3.
Do you know what time the Division updates take place? I am in a promotion spot right now, but its not moved me yet. Dont wanna take any chances!

There is no progression
The last few days have gone really bad for me. Somehow I lost about 70 % of the games I played, after destroying a controller because I conceeded the fourth last-minute-shitty-player-switching-cheap-goal, I decided to change things around. Played with the tactics and sliders a bit and the last few games have gone better. I actually made it to the final of the coach tournament. The final however nearly cost me my 2nd controller.
I signed 2 new fullbacks so relegated el mobarki and giersen to the bench. Planning to release Hulk as he's just not bringing it.
I just can't understand how the points work that decide whether you relegate or promote. I started the tournament, of which I made it to the final with 420 points, I lost 1, draw 3 and won 5, and began the final with 445 points. Lost the final from a guy playing eto'o and forlan, amongst other superstars, from a div higher and my rating went 12 points down!! Wtf... So I played a quick match, won and my rating went up 2 points, lost the next quick match, my rating went down 8 points... Both matches were against much better squads.
Still loving this game though, it's so addictive!! Anyone with a good tip about a good winger or ss for around 3 million?

I've been playing MLO intensively for about a week now. I'm in division 4, will probably stay there as I need about 30-40 points for my manager rating thingy by the end of tomorrow to promote to div 3. Don't think I'll get that as I'm off to the champions league tomorrow evening.
Anyway, my main players are Van Der Vaart, Cahill, Luis Garcia, De Vlieger (gk) and one of the fastest (and cheap) defenders in the game called G. Martinez from Costa Rica.
I've been doing allright, won about 35-40% of my games. I don't know how the match attendance works though. Is this related to the opponents' strength? (obviously if you win you get more than drawing or losing).
Another thing that puzzles me is a few days ago I would pay about 40,000 for a quick match and get roughly 80,000 for a win. Now I'm paying about 42,000 to play a quick match and win returns have varied from 110,000 to even 160,000. I just don't get it.

Just started tonight and the match making is really bad >.<
I constantly face people 100 points higher then me (and yes i added same rating in online options).
I have signed Sneijder and Quagliarella so far.
It is either me or how do my opponents always have the ball before i can even receive it properly.
What bugs me off is that all blocks they make always get to a teammate of theirs ...

I've changed Rozenahl with Naldo (81 Overall), the rest is the same. My club capacity is at 38mio. Now I'm getting some nice subs.
I hate that lineup :realmad:. Most of the times I lose to people using that squad lineup and i don´t know why but most of them are from Spain. Although they usually have their wingers and their lone striker a bit further back it seems.
