the game was supposed to be out today here in america,why am i best without it? i have fifa but its just not pro evo.

im thinking that there wont be a lot of people online in ps3 and most will be in ps2 since not everybody have a ps3 yet, can that be possible?? i hope not

There are enough people online, it's just there will be lag in every game you play. I have a great connection and never get lag on any other game, but when it comes to PES it's just unbearable. The ML is very easy after a few seasons too. Can't even get all the Prem kits on there either. As I said, Fifa is probably more worth it this year, even though the gameplay is horribly slow.

I've managed to ignore all the annoying little bugs etc...except....the REFEREES!!!! Are they based on Graham "3 cards n ur off!" Poll??? I lost a player for nearly a season because of a Martin "hatchet man" Taylor chellenge (he should be banned for just being a Bluenose c**t!!) and he got away with it, I got the ball 1st and got sent off! after just 5 minutes!! When/If they do a complete overhaul for '09' sort the refs AI out coz he is a useless pratt and a birmingham shitty fan coz he sends all my villa players off

WHY;

1- You changed camera views, and took out the angles (1-9) ?? ( which is one of the most item enhances the realism)

2- You changed the edit mode completelye instead of making additions?

3- Frame rate on Ps3 is so poor ?

4- The spectators look like the characters in PACMAN - Atari?

5- Long passes are too harsh & pacey..?

6- Refrees can show red cards at an in-related incident so easy?

7- You give chances to FIFA and even PES supporters to claim the eqaulity of Fifa 08 & Pes 08

1 - Didn't you edited the faces of the Classic Players; Roberto baggio, Diego Maradona, Johan Cruijff, Pele, Garrincha, Romario, Fernando Hierro, Bobby Moore, Carlos Valderrama, Franco Baresi, etc, etc..

It is disappointing to see Fernando Gago with his real face and then see The Diego Armando Maradona with some random face.



2 - Still have not changed anything for the past 4 years!! The same Skills; Passing Accuracy, Passing Speed, etc, etc..

This was suposed to be Next Gen Game - why do you want to use Old Gen Game skills?? I cannot help but think that Konami were kind of lazy and careless for their PS3 debut.



3 - How was it that you had the time to arrange new features such as "Diving" -and- not had the time to introduce new skills that could've actually made a contribution to the game play!!

Diving is not a fundamental aspect of football!! - Defending is a fundamental Technique of Football, Off-The-Ball movement is a fundamental Technique of Football, Passing is a fundamental Technique of Football

I'm extremely disappointed about the fact that Konami did not added a single New Skill to improve the game play.

And by the way Special Abilities are not New Generation, although you didn't even improved the Special Abilities.




--- I will seriously consider buying FIFA instead of PES next year, that's how disappointed I am - At least EA Sports made an effort into introducing new skills such as ''Tactical Awareness''.

PES 2008 is still better than FIFA08 - but if Konami keeps this up, FIFA might be the one to take it up another notch.

its starting to piss me off so much that when i win a match online i only get about 6 pts but when i lose, it takes away like 14, i cant even lose 3 games cuz im down 30 somethin pts, this is so unfair. i cant get to 600 pts and monday is check up day, ill be stuck in div 2 for another week

Yes my concerns are also in this way..
I've bouht PS3 for Pes 2008 and faced up with such a bad game.. Maybe it is not that bad, but NEXT gen - New PES Game -Konami.. all these terms are sufficent to imagine the forthcoimng game.. What a devastating game.. I hope they re-build it for 2009.. that will be the last chance to give Konami... If they suck again, PEs is over for me...

i agree.... i was so dissapointed with the new version on ps3 after playin all of the pes versions on the ps and the ps2 i thought that only things could get better but they didnt! i feel like konami have just thrown this game out with the attitude that the new pes 'will do'. There are sum good points to the new pes on the ps3 with certain graphics that are brilliant but the bad points overshadow the good ones dont you think? for example the nets... they are not realistic at all. To my dissapointment i think the new fifa has outclasses pes 2008 for the ps3 and i will be hoping for massive improvement for the next pes to be released,chris

omg!!! fifa sucks so much how can you say it outclasses pes? the gameplay is so horrible and boring, PES fun to play, have you ever played fifa online? its crap, you dont have the options to make a good formation so u go with what they have. in pes u can do all that and even load formation data and the nets are much more realistic than fifa's nets, i kno i hate somethings about pes like the online rating system but its still way much more fun to play pes than fifa. im just hoping that next pes has an online lobby and tweak the gameplay a little bit like they usually do.

i just played a game ther signal was fine until the match loaded, kept jumping all the time to the othe rplayers advantage

if i bought this for the PS2 i would have said this is the same as any other pes but with updates ,but on the PS3 this is a very very poor attempt not just by the game designers but by sony themselves who should have insisted the konami took full advantage of the hardware available to them

for eg :sony have made a big song and dance about blu ray ,the only reason why i bought the system in the first place now this apperently is a storage media that can hold upto 50 gigs of data on one disc

but did we the consumers get anything different from pes6?
no sadly not ,the lack of anything new or pushing the envelope of development to promote a new game and new machine is disturbing ,considering what hardware sony ps3 boasts ,why isnt there a 2 player master league? or even an online master league , but heres my biggest complaint ,there is supposed to be so much free space on these blu ray discs ,and your ps3 is connected to your HDTV and optically connected to your amp that leads to 5.1 why ,oh why isnt their a realistic crowd or sound files

what could be more impressive to show off to your freinds than going to a euro final with say liverpool and hearing fans sing "you`ll never walk alone"? ,to play with newcastle and to hear them sing "n and e and wouble c ,etc or when they get beat hear them sing "stand up if you hate sunderland" ,not to mention the world cup as england and hearing a band playing the great escape ,or even a national anthem ,the list of soundbytes they could have placed within this game to add to realism and atmosphere is breath taking and theres lots and lots of spare media space on the discs to do this but did they?

my overall opinion of this game is good ,i enjoy the game play but it feels unfinnished ,unpolished and unloved ,even the music on the game espicially the title music is uninspiring ,i wont be buying pes9 unless there is a major addition to sound files or actual gaming features

afterall you wouldnt play a FPS when your machine gun sounds like a muted knock

I totally agree with you mate. It is shocking the lack of attention to dteail Konami put into this game. One thing I have been saying for a while is that the potential for blu-ray games is huge but developers keep on ignoring it and just porting the 360 versions to the PS3 - it simply isn't good enough. Not only Konami but every developer should have a dedicated team working on each specific title. Then the PS3 team could focus on putting things into the blu-ray version only...I really like your idea about the fans chants but can you really see Konami implementing this? A MMO version of the master league is a MUST for the next installment - I don't see why this can't be done with the technology at developers disposal...So unless therea big improvement and not just a rehash of the same old modes I will be leaving PES and moving onto other genres instead.

just played online a game where i got beat 3-1 they were liverpool i was west ham ,first 5 mins they attack i successfully defend i go to break the ball ends up near the semi circle ,one of his players slide tackle me from behind and brings me down ,i put down the controller to wait while the game goes through the motions of carding the player ,i genuinely hope the player isnt sent off as i want a good game ,to my suprise he was not even carded ,the game continues ,10 mins i score with a well worked goal ,15 mins he scores with an aerial ball inthe box where the opposition glances a header wide and my defender runs towards the goal and places the ball past the keeper whos already dived into an empty net ,1-1 ,unlucky but no problem game on

the game then proceeds with me attacking i play a through ball to my foreward instead of attacking from the edge of the box i turn back in feild and pass to my midfeilder whos just past their semi circle he runs with the ball for 3 yards or so when hes brought down from behind again .this time the ref doesnt even call a foul because it rolls to one of my players who is immediatley tackled fairly ,they break they get into my half my initial midfeilder who was fouled ,makes a similar tackle in the same position as he was ,the ref calls foul and sends him straight off ,second half ,i am adapting admirably with 10 men i break and play it to my foreward who runs down the wing to allow my back line time to re-position when running down the wing he slides i avoid him he then blocks me with another player but i still have the ball i turn and then trip over his player who is finished his slide but still on the floor , i loose the ball but no foul is called ,they break down the wing my centre half makes a sliding tackle toe pokes the ball but follows through on to the attacker ,foul and man sent off ,i`m fucking astonished the opposistion has carried out murder and maiming but not a card ive made 2 similar challenges but my players have been ordered off the game continues but i`m hugely deflated ,by this biased ref ,the opposition goes on to win the game 3-1 quite easily but during the game i break i`m 10 yards from his box i am about to shoot ,the opposition slides me from the front misses the ball ,slides right through my player ,making him needing treatment carried off the feild ,and the offender gets a YELLOW!

at the end i looked at the crime count him 7 fouls 1 card
me 3 fouls 2 cards ,i genuinely cant beleive it ,it feels like the ref was wearing a liverpool top ,ive also had other questionable ref decisions too like when rooney was clean through against me ,he shoots but because i`m in close proximety with 2 defenders one manually operated the other com pressure ,his shot screws off to the left of the goal and misses the ball is about to go over the touch line ,one of my defenders touches rooney ,he doesnt go down but the ref gives a penalty
co-incidently i loose that game 3-1 too

now i could go on all day about the lag issues of this game on the PS3 and how many games its lost me ,just wait till i upload the goal i conceeded last night ,you will be shocked ,but i`m left feeling that some sort of ref cheat has been used against me ,i`m used to players who want to look good on the game playing as barca or inter all the time ,but this latest one surely just cant be down to bad luck

there is no ref cheating cause you cant control the decisions of a ref but i kno the comp will make stupid decisions. this is what i do, i always stay a few meters away from the attacker and i dont go for the tackle right away, i let him get close to the area and when he makes a sprint and pushes the ball a little forward from him i press R2+X and i take the ball.

Couldn't agree with you more -but- why so disappointed with Sounds and Music?? I mean, it sucks!! But shouldn't we be disappointed by the crappy Game Play of the game?? I'm particularly disappointed about the fact that Konami did not introduced a single New Skill, Konami screwed up the Game Play, they also screwed the Edit Mode, and to top it all off - The Online Play is practically unplayable.

Konami clearly didn't produced a game worthy of a PS3, PES 2008 is plain bad, end of story. We have moaned long enough, let's hope Konami is aware of it - and get's to work on a decent game.

me too. after getting some decent games yesterday, today has been shite.
no chance of getting a fair game with the lag. the ball was doing some weird stuff.
