I don't give a shit enough to have a proper moan... but my god, Konami, don't EVER make Pienaar white again. :/ How can you get the basic skin colour wrong? It's just lazy.

I woudn't say cheating. more like taking advantage of the lag.
If you get it right you can score from corners!
and when the lag is really bad its just about impossible to play.

frustrated again
I am endlessly frustrated with defending on PES 2008. When playing the top teams the star players are nearly impossible to defend-I understand that they are good players and should be more difficult to defend, but only to the threshold of reasonable human capability. Once my defender gets 1 step behind a fast player its almost impossible to catch up-you do lose SOME speed when you have to dribble a ball for 50 yards. Also some players are so quick that they virtually bilocate leaving a defender with good positioning no chance. I don't know how many times I've knocked a ball away from the attacker only to have him instantly get the ball back and be on his merry way again. Somehow setting the difficulty mode anything above regular means that the cpu will win any loose ball that you don't have a 5 yard head start on. In addition, some top players are so good that they will "literally" run through a challenge. No tricky ball moves are made mind you they just seem, with their amazing footballing abilities, to turn the defender into some penetrable plasma that they can dribble right through. Also defenders seem to lose the concept that the ball is an important object flying around the field. Often they seem content to let it roll inches from their feet without giving a thought to the idea of putting a foot out to stop it. This revolution would sure prevent a lot of 40 yard unencumbered passes from the defending midfielders up to the lone forward, who now has a full head of steam and only 3 or 4 defenders to whiz by. Alas it is a fun game to play but I want a difficulty level between beating AC Milan 5-0 and losing to AC Milan 5-0. And I think some tweaks to the defending will make the next version a lot more fun to play. Where like in real football, it is a challenge for both teams to score, and the more innovative precise (and sometimes lucky) team will win the game.

Don't know if any one else has bitched about this but the biggest thing for me is that you can't save your master league team data with the development. surely the best thing about it is getting a class team at their peak and whoopin your mates and would've been class online.

free kicks is the most annoying for me... every time the comp gets a free kick outside the penalty box 9/10 they will score.
Then when you have a go 6/10 you will score.

i got rid of pro 08 ages ago cos i thought it was shite, now i'm thinking of picking it up on the cheap again as the new one is too far away. it is bad but still better than fifa.
