The PES 2013 "Rage" Thread

Unbelievably Bad!

I've only just started playing PES2013 for about a month or so and I've only just started to get into it and find things out. On the whole its OK gameplay wise - not great but OK. But I have just played the most piece of sh*t scripted game I have ever played in about 10 years playing PES. It was so bad I felt compelled to write about it. Copa Brasileira first round (I know cup games can be scripted but this was ridiculous)

I'm not complaining about losing, I don't really care about that. What I am complaining about is how Konami somehow feels the need to completely f*ck up and ruin the game with this scripted crap. This is by far and away the worst it has ever been.

Here's me settling down for a bit of relaxing footie gaming, only to be fully pissed off at this crap after about 20 minutes. Sitting on the ass end of a 1-0 thrashing.

I had to check that I was pressing the right buttons as no pace for my players, passing gone to crap, ball movement slow as hell for my players. Total inability for my players to tackle and I mean total. Player movement was EVEN WORSE - forwards move deeper, zero player runs. Gameplay so slow I checked the game speed setting.

This is completely unacceptable. I'm not stopping playing the game but too much more of this is really gonna piss me off.

Really been facing a bad crowd of players lately

1) Online aerial throughball spamming continue.

2)Some online users are still solely relying on speed of speed merchants to create/score a goal.

3)Even on manual passing people cant do proper passing.they use full strength blind passing to the player infront of them.

4)If they cant pass around the ball themselves they won't let you pass either..instead of tackling your player on the ball they will go and stand next to the player you can pass the ball to.blocking you from making a pass to them(some player pull this off very well.)

5)Again holding down the pass button before recieving a pass to fill up the yellow pass meter so that the AI adjusts the pass to the player your analog stick is pointing towards and that the defender AI is slower to react.

It seems that by now all the critical elements of the game have been exploited and the crowd I being matched against lately ...most of them are exploiting most of the elements..

I do not complain about the people who only use Real Madrid when playing online, because it is them, who have fully exposed the flaws of PES 2013, and I consider that constructive in itself.

I really don't get why people complain about Real Madrid when playing online??

The only "pussies" in here, are the people who are naive (and stupid) enough to believe that PES 2013 can be "played correctly".... Both PES and FIFA are still using, in year 2013, many of the fundamental mechanics of PES3!!

Please do tell me, what has changed in terms of "controller" design since PES4??

1st -- the R1 sprint button remains virtually identical, it still has no depth to it, and as the lack of depth (in-game) does suggest, the stats system that determines how the sprint button works, are the very same old stats that PES has always used: top speed and acceleration.....

2nd -- the four buttons that are used for passing and shooting remain virtually identical, the only difference is that they now work around a "power bar" system, but other than that, it still is the same old system that PES3 and PES4 used, working around the very same stats system that PES3 and PES4 used.

3rd -- the left analog stick does not work (is not used) like a proper analog, the left analog is used like a 360 degree d-pad.... The belief that adding more directions to an extremely restrictive system, equals more freedom, could not be more wrong, you need to look no further than PES 2013 to realize just how "scripted" PES 2013 is.

Do I need to say more? The three most fundamental aspects in terms of how the game can (and will) play, remain the same from PES3 to PES 2013; do I really need to say more?


Instead of complaining about how "people use Real Madrid all the time", people should complain about how PES 2013 is fundamentally identical to PES4, now that is valid complain. The fact of the matter is, at the end of the day, that if PES 2013 didn't offered so many obvious flaws to be exploited with extreme ease by even the most inexperienced player, then people would not be complaining about Real Madrid in the first place.

The animations seem to be getting worse every year. Goalkeepers are shit. Player movement is shit. Collisions are a joke. Defending is a joke. ML has been completely fucked, cut screnes, magic boots etc. There was a great ML in 2010 and they decided to muck it up. Konami are a joke. If PES2014 is a good game after this shit, which was obviously made by people who know nothing about football I'll be amazed. Making a good game seems beyond the Konumpties these days. I'm thinking Konami trying to aim this game at the mass market C.O.D. morons and biting off more than they can chew is a big part of the problem.

2011 had a great ML. Wasn't too different from 2010. 2012 was when they fucked it up. I knew it was a bit shit when I managed to sign Goetze straight away for Bolton. :facepalm:

Anyway I found you very nice moderator that worn people before you take any action and you accept negative comments with humor and patience so I will pay my respect to your thread by expressing my ‘rage’ and in here.

To some people in this thread I like to say consider what you had in pess 2011 and 2012 and what 2013 offers you. In pess 2011 I could take any player I liked and overload him with skill cards if I had the money at any time and I could give 2 cards per year to a player. They removed this feature in 2012 and now in 2013 I had to straggle to buy the cards from the shop!? Witch I found ridiculous as in pess 2011 the team was playing the bill for the cards or the positions I was choosing to learn. 1 year for each skill to learn I find it stupid to as I play Finisher and I badly needed 1-1 finish, one touch play, outside curve and speed merchant. I couldn’t relocate all the points as I was doing in pess 2012 and I ended up putting max points in strength in order to get as much as tenacity I could. Normally this move in 2011 was giving me 75-77 tenacity and in pess 2013 gave me only 70!? I used 1 point in speed and I ended up with a player that had 64 stamina, couldn’t run, didn’t had speedy dribble or 1-1 finish card it had only fox in the box and long ranger, nothing else.

Under this conditions I didn’t expected to score 7 goals in the first friendly game mostly because the keeper was a retard (they removed the 1-1 keeper and penalty saver cards from them!?) I used to play with the defenders at my back to stick to me like glue all the time and to use the speed button a bit left or right diagonal shoot goal (before any other super star defenders run to me and tackle) The shoots outside the box was more successful than ever not to mention the headers!? It gave me the impression that I was playing a superstar player that could score even from positions that normally only a 95 shoot technique player could score!? The facts are konamy fixed the game this way to force you use the ‘new’ dribble they evened even inside the box and because in Master league you start from scratch with nobodies even when you choose Barcelona!? Is a top to bottom fake League and the names of the players randomly created that is annoying to see them even written in the forum!? The question is if I wanted something like this I could choose to do it? In normal growth and with so little points the developing on my player seemed me extremely quick already and I was thinking if you use full points 5 million coach will result of creating 109 players that you can’t keep the contracts much faster than ever!? Finally you will have to sell them and the league will be filled with them sooner or later making your way through much more difficult as it seemed to some already, think it a bit.

I couldn’t choose with multiple contracts in what team will go either the Spanish league is always my favorite, finally I end up with 34 goals in 19 appearances:

As you seen above and thinking the cycling machine doesn’t really help, the recovery trainer will do or not his job, the next year the team had to play and champions league I terminate the game right there. The boots I won in every game was total crap the king boots was not as balanced as CTR 360 masteri was in pess 2011 anyway. At that point I believed I seen enough and completely deleted the torrent I downloaded. I mean the demo was allowing me to play only exhibition the other options was locked, In pess 2012 the demo didn’t had that restrictions!!!!

Finally this game is a bad joke for anyone and konami must learn it I already send my opinion to them I suggest you do the same and is not late to return the game to the store and buy something else we had enough.

If you're talking about the blog, I don't have any control over what goes on there. This is the main forum area for PES 2013, so this is the right place to put this thread.
I mainly created it so that people had a place to vent their anger, rather than creating new threads every time they got angry.... which tends to happen a lot when playing PES! :lol:

I DIDN'T expected to find negative comments about you in some threads witch I find very annoying also, Is simple express your opinion to a thread and the people decide if you are helpful or not so I can’t understand the behavior of some.

At that point I was playing I had already won the golden boot award for the season and I started to trying to give and some assists jut to won and this award thinking maybe this way I would unlock the 3rd slot I had only 2 and only 1 choice for the boots!? To buy +5 points for tenacity and +5 for the stamina was a must at that point but I realize that too late!? The coach was looked to me as retard also!? Even when stamina went in 65 my player had the red bar already at the end of the first half and the coach didn’t replace me in every game as it happened in 2011 I could finish the season much better and with more goals. I was thinking to skip some games to get in better shape but I badly needed the GP!? The coach stopped using me in friendly games from one point and that was a huge problem to my gold of gathering more GP!?

All through my experience was limited playing in superstar difficulty was the best way to test the new game to the limits. As I already wrote with this setup anyone could score and small teams with heavy defense and the back was much more difficult to beat them from big teams that was playing more open systems in front!? I mean i found many negative angles in this game already what to play...

You can't defend (your players literally don't jump), you can't score (it's always that ridiculous execution that goes way far). WHY?! Why did they distroy ML? Of course not. Who would buy this shit? I strongly advice anyone spending actual money on PES to reconsider. There's no other way for these retards to stop destroying PES. Hit them where it most hurts - the wallet, and they might read some of the complaints after all. Bad game design in one thing, deliberate attempts at annoying the crap out of people is another. From what I've read in non-rage threads, very few people like this game. Sure, some are not wasting time ranting about it, but they still don't like it. Which leads me to believe PES is objectively declining and it's not about older/newer gamers, having different views or other crap like that.

You are right I didn’t had the time to fully explain all the parts of my brief experience in Pess 2013 I was afraid I will end up posting a huge post about it.The lucking in freedom of choice is responsible for the rage it creates!?

The feeling something is wrong with it came from the demo it had the Master league and BAL options locked!? I had to spend hours downloading a torrent, waiting more time for the game to install this time. I couldn’t choose even with what boots to start while creating the player from the accessories they removed and this feature!? I still can’t understand why they didn’t allow me to relocate all the points as I used to do it in older version or choose with multiple contracts in what league I will play I ended up playing in France league that was not as strong as I expected, the team didn’t seemed to me that had en expressive coach anyway. Yet I couldn’t reach my standard of scoring 4 goals in each game and I don’t know the -5 points from tenacity or the low stamina was the reason the red bar meaning I was tired at the end of the first half already!? I spend most of the time battling to get in open position to shoot and it was much easier to score once I managed to get there. All the time I was thinking if the team had a second striker with dummy runner close to me maybe he could drag out of position some defenders creating more gaps for me to enter. Maybe this is the only way for breaking the zone defending and I must test this in super star level in Master league. This means I must download the fucking torrent again and wait for the stupid installation once again. About the headers you mention the corner execution time got smaller and I didn’t had much time to get into position to score an easy goal but once I realize that I adapted and i scored from different positions. The crosses from my teammates were more accurate that before and it seemed to me all of them had the early cross skill card!? Once I adapt in that style of playing I had some easy goals from headers. All you have to do is to get yourself in the right position and just press the shoot button a bit or use the speed button right after the shoot and the heading will go low to the ground and into the net for you.

Bottom line is the trouble I have to get again in order to do a simple test to this game that discharging me! The stupid nicknames after the game, the useless boots I was getting, the endless vods the only thing they were doing is to increase the time of installation much longer!? Sometimes I was afraid it stuck and was something wrong with it!? Maybe the next week I will find the time to test my dummy runner ss theory and see if I get a positive result I expect from it.

PS i forgot in defending headers i just press the shoot and the speed button together that is making the players of my team to run, jump pressure and cut the ball of the opponents you must careful when you using it because all the team goes back and defending. If you do it early this may turn against you when your teammates cut the ball into an early counter!? I couldn't just use the fast dribble in front my player didn't had a fast dribble and i was passing back, left or right waiting all the team to go forward.

You play a game you score and that's it. For the games that are not played there is an algorithm that uses the stats of players of the teams the tenacity and the form and gives the result. I didn't try Master league at all but i suspect the low level players that all the teams start is the reason for that.

Don't west your time with this game the faster developing of the players is creating many problems faster.

PS I forgot, Look around some people used pess edit to downgrade some players and the only reason is that they develop much faster and conversations about overrated players happens because they get to 109 much faster. Someone in ML thread wrote that one player became like Ronaldo in 1 season!? I believe him if it had fast growing is very possible in Pes 2013!? Look again the picture i upload i got in 19 games 1 point up to all my stats and is more than half way to get a second point this is not normal. And the most serious was i had little points in the training with a 5 million coach that gives full points you will searching ways to get more money faster than ever!? bottom line is this game creates more problems that is solving!? let it be, trust me.

Hello I hope I landed on the right thread, tonight I had enough , the scripting got so bad I almost smashed the controller, smoked like half pack already and couldn't sleep so far ...

I mean come on, it was 5 games in a row from hell... purple players no matter what team I played, completely inhuman goal keeper saves, there was one game where I shot 17 times on target and I lost 1-0 , my opponent had 3 shots on goal.
I mean PES literally parks an invisible 18-wheeler in your opponents goal and its over... I could shoot with Messi 1 meter from the goal and he'll kick it to New Zeleand... thank kind of crap.

On another game.... after attacking all game, trying everything humanly possible with good possession of the game, I get one dude way lower ranked that me on counter attack, my goalkeeper gets out with clear advantage to the ball, I point the rejection to the sidelines and then.... using some very creative physics the ball somehow goes to BUSQUETS which does a "half-chilena" immediately back and puts in with full violence , minute 87, lost on that goal again 2-1. BUSQUETS? are you ***tting ME?!? I couldn't make that goal with Ronaldo or Messi in red if I tried for a week... some circus ***it!!

Before these 5 games, I scored 5 goals on some dude online who didn't deserve them, Benzema couldn't miss from midfield if I tried, same sort of bullshit going my way... its horrible for the game.

I don't know what to believe anymore, somehow I pissed off Konami but the AI is brutal, some games it looks like the field is tilted 90 degrees, you can't catch a ball to save your life, no rebounds , your players move in slow-mo, and your opponents slowest defenders look like Usain Bolt on Coke running from an African Lion. Its ridiculous...these were all "online" games.
