The PES 2014 "Rage" Thread

Goodness gracious me, I have recently purchased pes2014 for the ps3 and I have to say I am very disappointed in the game, can anybody honestly say its an improvement from pes2013???? it appears to be a totally different game altogether? reminiscent of fifa from the earlier years!! rather shocking to say the least.... very very very disappointed in konami.

Why Konami doesn't produce a game like PES6 in terms of gameplay.
PES6 is simple, responsive and fun.

yuuuup pes6 with 2014 graphics , mlo , 2v2 online,lobby etc etc would blow fifa away

Sorry mate but being better than EA when it comes to customer service and not ripping people off is like being slightly less right wing than Hitler. Nothing to shout about.

In my view they're asking customers to forget about all the issues they have had with PES and the fact that it's still, in a lot of ways, a broken game and pay out an extra 8 quid for some DLC that doesn't really add much to an already shoddy product.

I would think the least they could do for their loyal fans, all 23 of them that remain, is to give them something like this as a free DLC.

Complaints from a recent buyer

As you can see I've been a member here since 2006, but I've been so busy I haven't played the last two PES games. I finally got some free time and bought PES 14 last week and omg is it fricken terrible!

Now I know from previous experiences that it takes time to get used to the game, but this one seems totally broken.

First complaint I have is that the players seem to be skating on ice, get stuck in animations and are not in control of the ball. I'm playing with Barca on regular and it seems like every time I pass to someone it takes a couple seconds for them to respond to my command and in that time the defender comes over and takes the ball. The controls are not at all responsive to my commands.

Second biggest complaint is player switching on defense. It NEVER switches to the player closest to the ball????? WTF is up with that! I try to switch to the nearest defender and instead it picks someone not even close to to the ball. This is ruining the defensive side of the game for me.

Another complaint is speed. Why are the players so slow? Neymar and Messi getting caught every time they have the ball. And don't even bother trying to sprint with the ball because then the skating and long animations result in you losing it to a defender who isn't even close to you when the play started.

Another complaint is shooting. I've played 4 games and have hit the net 1 time! Every shot, no matter how slight I tap the button, goes flying over the net.


My first impressions are so negative that I'm seriously considering giving FIFA a try, something I haven't done since 2002.

Whats wrong with PES 2014

Took Pro Evolution Soccer of my computer, what rubbish this game is. It's a game of mindless chickens running round a pitch colliding into each other. Found my old 2012 PES, and now playing it with pride. 2014 will not be going on my system any more, played for some months and could not get any joy from all the things that it does. Or should I say things that it does not do!

THe old pes was easy, especially on ps2. You could use Cristiano and take on a whole team pretty much.

The current version is a slight bit difficult. I had similar complaints after the patch update, however, after playing many games I get the feel for it.

What shooting settings are you using?

What are you playing under?superstar? professional?

so i switched from pes2009 to try this out and i need help with settings. Im desperately looking for an option called "turn every opposition player into messi", i need to untick this option. Seriously, how can EVERY oppostion player worse than my players take 3 of my backs at a time and have 99% possibility of retaining the ball? And i havent even played against messi, i cant imagine how that would look like. Im staying at pes2009. its shit but less shit than this. And just a top it off, im into second half of the season in ML and still im waiting for a single yellow card to opposition player, that is simply ridiculous.

Guys, this will maybe sound funny, but I have to ask.
When we play a League, or the Champions (2 players), when one team has it's match, the other guy takes charge of the team that I'm facing.
For example, I play with Chelsea, against West Ham. And I can't beat him.
And in the exbition match, with the same rivals, I give him 4 or 5 goals (the level it's the same - Top player). Every thing that we do (the defence part, attacking,...) it's three times more difficult in the League mode, than in the exibiton. It's there something in Options to adjust, or anything similiar?

first time i play pes2014 i get frustrated also but after a while i can enjoy the game ..this happen with pes 2013 also and everything depend on how we get used to with the game.
for me after the last patch 1.13 dlc6 everything running smooth... thanks to paul for the awesom patch you the best
only one thing that i concider that is very dificult to get the bal from cpu bcuse iplay offline (superstar level)

What I can NEVER tolerate is the bleeping AI cheating ! The developers at Konami are extremely sadistic as to be this desperate to make you lose . I swear I wouldn't mind losing against a human or even the AI if it's fair and makes sense . We play this for fun right ? Well , when I can't dribble , pass , shoot , or do anything properly , what fun is there to be ?! Losing isn't so irritating . Losing because of cheating is extremely frustrating beyond words ! So unless those at Konami - and other games in honesty - stop being sadistic retards who favor a patch of data over you , I ain't buying anything anymore .

As for PES 2014 , with all the terrible news I hear about it , I'll skip it and every incoming game until I hear something good . And no , I'm not moving to Fifa , the gameplay is even less appealing to me .

PES 2013 - download jenkey1002 gameplay tool and click the 'enforce ai balance'

Also go to option.bin in my documents/konami/pes2013/save and change it to read only.

This stops the game from recording your wins and losses and helps with some of the cheating.
