The PES 2015 "Rage" Thread

Had a frustrating ML night last night. Started with a home match to Hull (shameless self promotion for another thread of mine - http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=96936 ). Went 2-0 down, a lot of fucking annoying things happened (such as getting a player sent off for 2 yellows, the first yellow being for a perfectly clean challenge, and my player getting taken out when I was clean through on goal, only for the ref to give a yellow to the CPU defender!) and then I finally managed to win 3-2.
Next match at home to Monaco, 2nd leg of the CL knockout stages. Luckily I won the first leg comfortably, because they went 2-0 up. Again, a lot of bollocks ensued, until I drew it back to 2-2. Towards then end, about 4mins in to a 1min injury time (of course!) they break through on goal, their player takes a shot and my keeper saves it. I try to block the shot by sliding and take their player out..... you know.... the sort of challenge that never gets punished in the oppositions penalty area. So of course the ref gives a penalty and sends my player off! FUCK RIGHT OFF PES!

Is it just me or does the CPU try to cheat you out of obvious corners and throw-ins? I've seen the ball careen off of a defender, only to have the CPU awarded a goal kick.

Plus, I have had a 0-0 game with 1min of stoppage time only to have the CPU hold possession and manage to score in the 96th minute!

cant be arsed with my club online anymore, scripting-momentum swing has taken its toll, hopefully they sort it. no point having a controller in your hand when it doesn't work.

I don't think the CPU is cheating with this since it goes both ways. Sometimes it favors you, sometimes it favors the CPU. Happens all the time in "human" vs "human" matches also. Bad coding but not cheating.

I agree! Even if i'm losing, when I suddenly get an easy goal because of the momentum scripting, it feels bad.

I really loathe hitting the START button 4 times after a goal is scored to get to the gameplan window to make changes.

Worst of all, it can't be hit too early while the game is in transition to a replay or it does not even register.

Late scripted goals by the CPU will often prompt me to make a lineup change, so I am already irritable - then 4 start punches, with usually 1 additional rage strike on that button is unbearable.

Never play FIFA then, I've read a few times people complaining about pressing :circle: more than asked after an opposition goal, and give the ball away right at the kick off.

but really on the contrary, in FIFA a simple x button will get you through it, no matter when you press. There is no frustration involved.

however i know what you are writing about, i have even seen internet memes about that type of incident.

I will jump in on this and reveal why Fifa players (like myself) suffer from this "button mash" :square: to restart the game.

It's because they played/play PES.


I often suffer the same fate because that is the norm in PES.

However, Fifa requires the opponent to also hit the :square: to restart the game.
It is also one way to frustrate the opponent .....let the cut scenes and replay run its course.

Most times the "PES" now Fifa players will continue to mash the button in hopes of restarting the game quickly. :realmad:

But it only results in you passing the ball directly to an opposing ST or CF in front of your 18 which results in a cheap goal.

I know this...because it has happened to me in Fifa many many times. :bammers:

First, I have to say I dont own it(hate me if u want). Second, I commend you on not censoring feedback from your customers, seriously. I cant hate you for making money and using something like what exists in fifa such as the elo rating which is noticeable through team rating and stars in your competitor. Micro purchases are good business and the average joe will think nothing more than spend money, get good cards, get better. Its very obvious in fifa if your not the average consumer that this is placebo and a lie to fund the game. If you are not good before ronaldo then you probably have not improved since using him either, you just think you have, funding the market.

I challenge you, to provide a authentic 11v11 experience, you know team play, what the sport is about. Bring people together for the right reasons. I would give my left nut for a beautiful team play mode...maybe a seemingly less scripted and more adult mode. Where how you move off the ball actually affects the game...All I have wanted to do for 4 years is replay real life fixtures with people around. Imagine you just watch a fixture then you hop on your console, replay it and have a blast. I feel like this could appeal to some market, surely its not as bonerific as things like my club to the average person, but i think there are enough people who would like this...i think.

I am going to be getting PES16 because I cannot live with myself if I fund another EA game for as long as I live lol. So someone tell me...How is the current 11v11 mode?

on ps3, you can never find more than one 11v11 game being played at any one time, globally. Still have not had the opportunity to play it. I have heard a similar remark about 11v11 on ps4

Man that stinks...I am really the only person who finds this appealing? I used to absolutely love it on the competitors game but then they replaced it with pro clubs and went 100% after the marketing potential of messi, FUT, and mirco transactions. The game play is so far down the toilet and there is no hope of using a plunger to ever unclog the mess.

Please revitalize sports game and make a mode about team work, a game where ronaldo is less important than game play, a game made to to be played, not a game to induce revenue...At least 1 gosh darn game mode that is not made for the casual...please lol

I want to take a stab at the topic of rage as it relates to these 2 sports titles. I think the rage comes from this; there was a time when everyone who is currently raging was benefiting from the same system which they are now speaking out about. Making them question the joy they used to experience and are still searching for or looking to recreate.

I believe this is a real possibility as it does seem to explain my experience with these games. There was a time back in 2008-11 where its likely I did benefit from all the things I complain about now. I actually do remember a time when I got scored on it was like ok I have a 75% chance of equalizing in the next 5 minutes. Now I no longer enjoy this feature and find it very cheap...

I started to play more seriously each year. By the time the 2012 release came around things started to change, I began to now longer use assisted controls as often, I began beating the computer on any difficulty, and this is still true to this day. I also realized maybe these negative things people say are perhaps true. I began to notice my team being handicapped online and the only way to make them move properly was to use custom or quick tactics. By the end of 2013 the notion that these games are fair...had completely died and is still dead for me till this day.

Stop the rage, give us team play.

As long as that "lag" is not triggered by your own controller input and would appear to be a form of rubberbanding. Then just be happy. I like me a footy game where I press the shoot button and then proceed to watch the game stutter right on cue, shift my opponents AI towards me as they auto tackle. Its figuratively and literally playing against your own team...

Not exactly raging over PES, but I find this quite amuzing. And it can be considered kinda proof that some shit is seriously wrong in the game.

Games played: 327
Form: W 277, L 9, D 41, this is, 84.71% of victories
Goals: Scored 955, conceded 257, this is, 2.92 and 0.79 per game respectively
Shots: On goal 3602, faced 1906, this is, 11.02 and 5.83 per game respectively

Some decent stats if you ask me. Now to the not-so-funny part. In 327 games played against the CPU...

Fouls made: 660, this is, 2.02 per game
Cards: 297 yellows, 31 reds, this is, 0.91 and 0.09 per game respectively. Which means, almost half the fauls were awarded a fucking yellow card.
Fouls suffered: taken from the FK avg, which was 0.71. In case you didn't noticed, this means it is just as easy to suffer a goal as it is to suffer a fault.
Other stuff: CK avg of 1.36, PK avg of 0.03. This means that I, a PES player that has given up on doing sliding tackles, am 3 fucking times more likely to have a player sent off than getting a favourable penalty
