Transferring files to PS3, Frequent problems

Hi sorry if this is against the rules, but i thought it might be easier to open a thread to deal with this problem which seems rather common; following all excellently and helpfully given advice, to the point of finding out the PS3 says "no saved data" or "corrupt data". Can any esteemed minds please explain what I'm/anyone else is doing wrong?

i wish i knew the answer to that myself mate. i tried to edit kits in 08 but when i used an option file and changed the picture when i went back into the game and edit mode it would still load the old shirt and not the new one.

so you couldn't edit in 08 either?

thats the thing.. i had no problem editing in 08, but now my PS3 can't even read the data!!

there's gotta be some solution, surely!!!

ok, heres what i did:

1) download emblems/kits and unzip/unrar them.
2) create a folder on a usb stick and put all the images (pngs) in this folder.
3) switch on your ps3 and goto the PHOTO menu.
4) scroll in the menu to your USB stick but dont press X, instead press Triangle this will display another menu, select the "Display All" option.
5) this displays the folders on your usb stick. Now select all the images and select "copy", this will copy all images to your ps3.
6) now load the game, go to the edit mode, select edit teams, select a team and then the emblem option.
7) in the emblem menu select custom, then create from scratch, then import. you will be able to select one of the images you copied to your ps3..

Similar to the putting the images on:

1) Create a new folder on a USB stick
2) Put your mp3s into this folder.
3) Switch on your PS3 and go to the Music menu.
4) create a new Playlist called "KONAMI_PES", However, make sure that there isn't a space after the word "PES" (an extra space sometimes gets put on the end of the last word when you press the start button on the controller.
5) scroll to the USB stick but dont press X, instead press Triangle and select "Display All" form the menu. you should now see all the folders on the USB stick.
6) select the mp3s and select Copy. This will copy them to the PS3s harddrive.
7) When the files have copied over, go to them on the PS3 and select "Add to playlist". Select the previously created Playlist "KONAMI_PES".
8) Now load the game. When you go the the Chants section and select custom you should see all the mp3s that you added to the Playlist.

Hope this helps. :)
I got this to work and it shows up in game, however the mp3 i used to test it with wasn't a proper mp3 or something and it couldn't play the file in-game.

Legend!!! I've just spent most of my eveing trying to sort this. Press Triangle! so simple when you know how.
