Ultimate Master League Failure

I've posted before about ML freezing on the calendar signaling the change of week in this post: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=74359

But now I have experienced the ultimate Master League failure. The calendar freezing seemed to disappear after I let the game intro sequence run a tad longer so that was the end of that and free I was to play my ML season. So I did, finishing 2nd in the league and winning a cup double of the FA Cup and Champions League. Season over. So I trudge through those last few weeks so I can get into the transfer window and prepare for next season. Problem hits. The game allows me to travel through the ML menus as normal so I hit next week and Player Developement comes up, can slide through them as normal and move on. The calendar is next and the box moves along from the penultimate and enters the last week of the season, the final row, the transfer window and the game moves on. Now this is the point where the Master League menu should show up. But it doesn't. Just loads the background image of a pointing Coach, ML logo and the music playing but no ML Menu.

Can't figure out for the life of me why this has happened. I've tried deleting the transfer update to see if that was the source but that didn't work. Tried leaving it for a extended period of time to see if it'll eventually load but it could probably go for days and nothing will show.
Anybody else experienced this? If so what did you do about it?

Dude, same happened to me!

I've had like 4 seasons with arsenal and 3 (I would say 4 but this f*ing bug makes it politically incorrect to say) with my new 'default players' club. Grinded out the first few seasons, finally got to the stage where people 82+ want to come to my club and that... and this happens!

Full transfer window with people in and out.. which i thought may have been the issue at first, but after cancelling some signings and mucking about with releasing people and that... still no resolve!

and I've left it overnight and nothing special happened.. again no resolve!

I've really lost faith in ML now... but hey im starting again regardless what my brain tells me so i'll keep you posted n i hope u keep me posted too

I know your position. I tried fiddling about in the in-game menu to see if anything I had done was causing it but nought seemed to resolve the issue. I too started again and in all honesty I'm enjoying it more. I used to always use reset prevention to auto-save but for the restart I took it off and maybe that's saved me some hassle. I thought about the fact I was using a team I created in Other Leagues B but I can't see how that may of been a factor. I only questioned that when the update removed all the players I had registered to the side meaning they were back to "Player A1, Player A2", but edits done post starting a ML aren't represented in the Master League so it's unlikely to be that.

I'm hopeful it was just a one off fault but if it occurs again, I'll lose unmountable faith in PES 2010.

ML has never gone beyond half a season for me

Always freezes at the calendar at some point shortly after the new year.

I'm using the official CD version, all the latest official patches and DLC and no third-party patches - can't believe this hasn't been sorted yet.

I haven't heard of any other company that cares any more than Konami.
I don't really disagree with you, but the way you say it makes Konami seem worse than everyone else which is far from the truth.

This happened to me because my disc was scratched. Try cleaning or replacing the disc.
