Go back to gameplan, then press 'let coach take in charge' and it'll set up your formation and default all the marking. Then you can change the formation and that

I have been playing PES (or Winning Eleven, Jap version) since ISS2 which you can use a dog as the ref. I had challenged myself to use the weakest nation and win the world cup at the highest difficulty. I have to say PES 2012 is the most difficult one in the whole series. I started off at "top player" and lose a few games consecutively. Then I switched to "beginner" and only managed to beat Barca 3-2.

After GTM v1.1 option file has come out, I started ML at "superstar" difficulty with default players. My 1st season is in n-power championship. I have promoted a few young players to strengthen the team slightly. Now it's my 1st team line up:

Palmeiri is way too slow and if he is left behind, you can go grab a cup of tea and see if the goal replay is on when you come back. I have played 15 games in D2 and currently leading with 9 points advantage. Ribeiro is the top goalscorer in the league, scoring 9 goals.

^ STIKER: try Rojo from argentina. can play left back and cb. Great defender. Other wise try A. Milosevic - great young swedish defender. Zanka - danish defender. Or if you're lucky you might be able to sign kjaer. He develops great in my ML.

Hell yeah my favorite thread, about my favorite PES game-mode :

So anyway, bought PES today (only 2 copies left in the entire store, damn I was lucky) and I'm about to start a Master League with the ML Default Team (I like challanges).

Just went out of the January transfer month, this is how my team looks like after selling more than half of my team, and buying young 'cheapies'

Anyway, I am in Top-Player, and I find it not that hard so far. D2 teams' defence is absolutely ridiculous, my boy Uchida fuxxes everyone up :w00t
Speaking on defence, I really need to improve mine, my wins have been like 4-3, 3-2, 5-3, 4-2, etc; I do win, but hardly, I think I am yet to win a game without conceding a goal. My defenders are pretty bad to be honest :no:. Let's see what next Season's youth investment gives me.


On a second note, even though D2 teams are not that hard to beat, when I faces Arsenal in the first Cup knockouts game, I got schooled 5-1.. there is a HUGE difference in D2 teams to Premier League teams, Arsenal was absolutely powerful and devastating, had I think 71% ball posession, with 21 shots, while I had only 3.. And my goal was absolutely lucky and pathetic, not even worth explaining:lol:

Man, I am scared to play against teams like Barça, Milan, Real, etc; if I even get in the Premier League top 4 to get a spot in Champions League.. I think I'll be struggling for maintenance on the league for a few seasons, before my team gets strong enough.

I can't even avoid relegation (eventhough their isn't any in D2) on professional!
Hopefully patch 1.03 will make superstar more fair

I have to admit I played ugly football. Basically, I have Shimizu or a good form winger at a side and having Ribeiro on the other side. He can normally head in one or two each match. After that, just pass the ball around at my own area. With this team I have no better mean of scoring other than this. Hopefully I can return to beautiful football when I sign some quality players.

Hi All

I mentioned earlier about my players always been set to man marking someone like my CB being assinged to a RMF on the opposition team, Thanks Abu your replies and help but unfortunately I still cant take them off.

I have a red man mark line that goes from my CB to the RMF or whoever its chosen for 1 of my CBs to mark and whilst I can remove this and man mark someone who at least would make sense for my CB to mark, if I do not select someone else it automaticaly reassigns it to original player he was man marking.

I have no auto coach setting on or anything as I like to do all that myself manually. im puzzled has anyone else noticed this when before a game you check your man marking settings.

I haven't seen the marking done for me, although I have all my tactics set to manual, I'll mark a CF if he's a major threat, like A.Carrol seems to be when I'm playing Liverpool or Aguero at City but I never have any players "Pre-Marked" before I sort out my tactics.

Started with ML default team and learned to play this version with it. I came out 1st in D2 league and won the Cup.
Now in my 2nd season leading the Eredivisie and just reached 1/16 th finals of europa league. Started on beginner level but now playing top player again after starting 2nd season.

Ennuf said about all the mistake's made by Konami but overall i am starting to like this version more and more. The Defending is hard at start but in time it gets more challenging and more fun then in previous versions. The manual passing which i really like gets screwed up at times by the AI but maybe i should just redo my settings a bit to adjust, any suggestions?

Gonna restart ML to play with my home team Fc Groningen, win the CL in 3 seasons straight is my goal.

just to let you all know that Ive updated to patch 1.3 PS3 version and those predetermined man mark setting I was getting have gone.

Woohoo, alls good and now my defenders are in defence, gotta say thats made quite a difference

I also had a bug as weird as your one - once in a exhibition match, the ball was crossed in then I switched player to the closest player that had a chance of heading. However when he headed it, as soon as it touched his forehead, the ball was invisible like I destroyed a script as it was gonne be a cetain goal because I let another player head it in. From that match, I could not see the ball so I went to top menu and played another match which I also could not see the ball. I then refreshed my console and everything went back to normal.

Started a ml with man city top player. After a sucky season start. Lost 4 and drawedmlike 2 or 3 from the firsr 10 matched. Its starting to role now. Still frustrating now and ten but luckely im on a winning stream.
Am 3th after chelsea 3 points and liverpool 7 points. Just played the first match of the champions league quarter finale against inter won 3-2 at home in a crazy match and am still in the run for the fa cup.
Bought neymar at the start of the season, only pitty is that is club love it on zero bars thanks to every club want to buy him damnit. Lucky bought ellia as a back up.

Al and al it is going the right way. Fun and frustration go hand in hand. But im just gonne enjoy pes 2012 till pes 2013.

Sorry to keep pushing on with this, but it's a major part of me enjoying ML or not.

Can somebody who's in the 2nd or 3rd season of ML tell me how the CPU transfers are? I will accept some crazy transfers, but is every single star player moving on to rival clubs and such, which was the fact with ML in PES 2011.

i'm reading all posts now, probably they answered you already in the new pages but i can tell you that in my ML in the 3rd season barca is still the same except xavi that went to Bayern Munich, Real madrid sold ronaldo to Man U but bought Thiago Silva and the rest of the team is the same, Man U got the same players but Ronaldo, same with the major teams,
i only saw one weird transfer which i did, signing neymar in my 1st season to genoa!! i spent all my money for him and asamoah and had to release 4 players to stay in the budget, but i admit it was worth! in my 3rd season they are still my top 2 players, those 2 with Granero helped me winning Europa league in the second season but with no good subs in the Serie A i ended up not winning,
i admit i play regular, i win many games but never 3-0 or 4-0, its either a boring 1-0 or a 3-2, i suck on this new defense so i had to learn on regular, 3rd season ill play professional hoping i learnt how to defend!
My line up is:

The bench is pointless, only decent one is shimizu which i just loaned out because he's too short and with no power when being pushed by defenders.

top player i'd wish to buy are:
Fabregas & De Rossi for the midfield
Chiellini & Kompany for the defense
Ibrahimovic & Ronaldo for the attack

Players i recommend are:
Bassangue age 19 (LB): starts with 75 and in one season is up to 82
Merkel age 18 (AMF-CMF): always top form, quick with good shots in the box
Ribas age 22-23?(CF): great header, great shot, and great free kicks. Starts with rating 73-74 and even if its now after 3 season only 80 he's very reliable, never miss and always in top form.

Also try Roux (CF) 22 years old from the beginning i think. He is very easy to sign when you start a new league.

Re-brought PES 2012 after I found out they fixed the sprinting bug, and started a ML as Liverpool. Brought Di Maria from Real Madrid for £27m. Currently 1st in the league after 4 games, and my next game is my first UEFA Europa League game against FC Twente and the FA Cup is yet to begin. So far so good
