I am AC Milan in my 3rd season of master league, got maybe about a dozen games to go until the transfer window & got about 110,000 in the bank (obviously got wages to come off at the end of the season which is around 25,000.

Really struggling to get any of the superstar players but hoping to get Benzema or Aguero but also need to look at signing wingers like Nani as i'll need to change my formation around once i have a clearout of my squad.

Looking to offload Ronaldinho, Gattuso, Nesta, Kaladze, Abbiati, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Ambrosini.

I will probably keep Pirlo for the meantime as he still does a good job for me although im grooming Diego who i already have to fill his boots.

even if i started with the crappy player ive hardly got any Arsenal players anyway apart from Fab, walcott & Clichy the rest will be sold during the summer tranfer window. need to replace toure as hes just not good enough but might keep sagna for sentimental value as his hair is cool and hes a good backup to ramos and the CB if needed.

Also i buy about 2-3 player in each tranfer window and manage to get rid of the dead wood.

For example in my
1st season winter transfer window in div2 i got Kompany & Velouso
1st season summer tranfer window got Ramos & Richards
2nd season winter tranfer window div1 got Benzema & Pato & Maldini reborn
2nd season summer tranfer window i got Aguero & Ronaldo
3rd season Winter - Messi & Drenth

All u have to do is get 2-3 in each window and ul be ok and also trade ur players in too its get them off ur wage bill and also u get the player for a little less.

Trading huh. Will definitely try that since noone is trying to sign my crappy players lol. An off side-note. I have classic players enabled and I just looked through Beckenbauer's stats. That dude is such a beast. Damn. Best DM in the entire game with those stats.

How much extra did you have put down along with the trade in order to secure the services of players like Aguero, Ronaldo & Messi etc as i've tried & failed but i wasnt throwing crazy cash at them.

For Messi i offered Adebayor + 15000 think ade was worth around 22000 though.
For Aguero i just offered around 32000 and got him
For Ronaldo i offered RVP and 30000 but i found out that selling RVP for 25000 and bidding 44000 cost me less.
Ramos was a steal with eboue going the other way and 10000 on top.

u might have ur master league level on normal which makes it really hard to transfer the really big names.

How are you getting so much points!!!!!! Even with Arsernal. Winning games gets me like 1200 points... + my team popularity which is like 300 or so (I am rank C). But you freaking have like 100,000+... twig going crazy here.

Or could it be that since you started with a much better team like Arsernal you should alot of your squad for that many points???

how are u onyly getting 1200 per game??

I get around 2000 per game so that around 76000 in the league alone, plue aload in th cup comps so at the end of the season il probably earn around 150000 - 30000 for wages. thats if i win every game which i do

Ugh. You know what? Fuck it. I am scrapping my custom team. Its not as enjoyable as I want it to be because my players are struggling big time with stamina and whatnot. I am kind of proud of myself though. With my custom team I placed third in a D1 table with ManU, Chelsea and alot of other big clubs. Since I have always supported ManU might as well make them d1 champs.

*sigh* 10hrs of gameplay down the drain. I almost want to cry. Atleast it will be less frustrating this time around.

I sure ul do fine when u start again, remember to spend ur money wise and always trade ur crappy players off. better that then get a pathetic transfer for them.

I always thought master league was about starting with lesser players (i.e original master league squad) and then trying to build a team and working your way up.

If you start with 'match mode' players it makes the game mode alot easier as you can just sell/trade off all your subs/reserves and get loads of points to buy the best players. It's almost like starting the mode half way through, which means its really not that difficult to have a very good team after 2/3 seasons... Each to their own though!

Normal for me - have only signed two players properly (ie not loan or free) and they were players who I had previous on loan...

By the way, I have a general ML question. I am in the first group stages of the European Championship, in 3rd place (above Lyon on goal different, well behind AC and Real). I presume the top two go into the next round of the EC - do both of the other two go into the Masters Cup, or just 3rd place? If it's both I can play reserve teams for my final two games.

I'm on Normal (but Top Player for match difficulty). I'm S rated in my fourth season and it's been impossible to buy the top players. However, now I'm in the Champions League (or whatever the ML equivalent is called), I have notice the negotiation percentage increase for the best players. So, hopefully, if I win the cup, it will be a lot easier to buy players.

Well i've got a good bit of cash tucked away just now plus i have about 10 games or so until the january transfer window so will break the bank on a couple of players.

I like the look of Anderson, he looks relatively cheap to acquire, had him on loan in my 1st season so will go in for him & hopefully will add some depth to my midfield.

Easier? Nah. I don't think so. It was a bloody nightmare with a custom team from the D2 league and I am very surprised I made it to D1 in just a SEASON under top player! But I hate to be ultra cheap to go that far in the sense that if I scored just ONE goal I would switch to a more defensive formation to counter the CPUs onslaught (which is merciless its not even funny). Let me also add that I wouldn't even make it to the D1 league if I had Bayern Munich involved also. Werden bremen was too bloody good for D2 and they beat me everytime I played them with my crappy custom team and the best I could do was draw. And two others were too good compared to my team but not nearly as good as Bremen.

So in essence getting ManU (even if its a little overkill) kinda balances it out fairly. Especially when I get Bayern Munich on there (and they are bloody good). So I would only worry about Werden, Bayern, and two other really good D2 teams.

I would have to disagree there. I've started with the original ML players every year, except last year where I was Liverpool, and last year I won every league easily - as I had players who could win the game from the off. Now with the original players I have to work really hard to both get points and sign players. That's why if I was Liverpool, I wouldn't have looked twice at players like Brunt and Greening, but on this game they've been my captains for me. It's so hard in comparison.
