Why No Edit Features???

I was very disappointed and disgusted to learn that the X-Box 360 version of PES6 will lack many of the edit features (e.g. you can no longer edit teams etc.) Why on earth have they done this?

I have bought myself an XBox 360 for Christmas. So will somebody please tell me if Konami plan to bring out an update for this game, so that we can download it and restore all the editing features that they took out?

Your too keen to use that joke, calm down and play it strategically, like Didier Drogba strategically fooling defences into a false sense of security for 2 seasons and now unleashing his power like harry potter on a gryffledildo.

Back to the point.. A little birdie who I know from Konami Europe has told me that there will be incremental updates on XBLM for a small charge, whether this is just transfers or not i do not know..

Of course it will be transfers, Konami don't have licensing to add anything else. The edit system itself is far too complicated to implement in this way. Stop moaning about no edit mode, i only ever downloaded option files or patches before anyway, I'm much more interested in PLAYING the game rather than worrying bout kits etc. If ya want kits go get FIFA or the PS2/PC version of PES.;)

i also found this very annoying as pes6 is what i bought the xbox for, oh well never mind i doubt there will be an edit mode update, but i hope the edit mode is back next year, otherwise were all gonna have to chip in and hire a hitman to take seabass hostage til the matter is rectified

There is no edit mode because... guess what? Time constraints prevailed!! You can say Konami had enough time all you want, but the truth is, when you're designing a game for a brand new system, it's not just a simple case of porting, that just simply wouldn't work. You have to re-write the entire game engine from scratch for the new system. The edit mode was simply one of those things left out. It IS however in the US version released in January, if only the europeans could have waited till then for a release it might have worked out good for our market too and there'd be no complaining like this. As you no though, it is not Konami who set the finished release date, it's Microsoft who give them a deadline. Why don't you all try to stop moaning about what's not there, No edit mode, Boo fucking hoo. I don't give a shit bout no edit mode because believe it or not, i got better things to do than fiddle round with shitty lil bitmap grids trying to design an emblem. Better things such as actually playing the game which is absolutely tops btw. I'm sick and tired about all these threads moaning about, No edit mode, no this no that, STOP IT!!! It doesn't matter, just wait till next year or get the US version if its region free. I really do urge Admin to stop people opening anymore topics bout this as it's been done to death. Rant Over!! :)

Oh and on a side note, all the people who say they only bought a 360 for PES, WHY?? There are so many awesome games on it, GEARS OF WAR, LOST Planet(out Soon), Dead Rising, Test Drive, to name a few.

CRISSGRAN, you said alot of viable points, I think your right, now as a PES fan in the US I am curious to know if its true that the US Version will have the motifications that you stated i.e. EDIT Mode for Players, Teams, etc. IS THIS TRUE? Who was your Source or were did you read it?, please let me know. Now, I am like you in that I care mainly about PES's actual GAME PLAY than editing uniforms etc. but I do like downloading an occassional option files, b/c the people that do that are the awesome at it, much respect for the work they do.

The thing I'm most pissed about is people posting the same topic over and over. Alot of people if they did the research prior to release would they have realised that edit mode looked very unlikely.

The fact that the mode didn't make the cut I understand is disappointing, but unfortunately you just have to accept it.

P.S. Can you tell I don't have the 360 version? :tongue:

The feature you mention is a fair point, however after all the 360 version's shortfalls it doesn't surprise me.

And btw you're right, I'm still saving. Maybe if I 'kooked' you dinner I will be that little bit closer. ;)

just play the game. So many people on ere claim its about the gameplay not looks etc. but then moan when you cant change the kits.
