on release date or hopefully one or two days early
what is the actual release date now anyway? because on the official pes site you can pre order from zavvi.com (i think its called) and its says the 6th september but onother site says the 4th september and another says 21st september :S im confused on its official release date

I'm gonna buy FIFA first. I played FIFA 12 to death and switched to PES 12 to see how it is. I must admit, i really enjoyed it. Got myself a patch off here and i was sorted.
The only thing i don't like about pes is that i don't feel like i'm in control of the ball when i'm in front of goal. In FIFA i can finess it top, bottom right/left. In pes i've been pretty much just shooting hoping for the best.
I LOVE corner kicks and free kicks in PES though. Genius idea allowing you to choose who the ball goes too with ease. I like how PES is up to the pace of playing on when a foul happens.
I didn't like pes for the buying of players though. Leaving it to my scout who pays way over the amount sometimes
The gap between FIFA and PES isn't as big anymore. PES having Champions league and UEFA makes it more fun when playing in Europe.
Still though. I haven't played any Demos. I'm just gonna buy FIFA, if i don't like it, i know i'll have PES which will fill the void.
If you're more in control in front of goal in PES 2013, i may be tempted to Switch back. I've went from FIFA, to PES, to FIFA. It is great we have the option again though ! For years people would have answered FIFA in a heart beat. Now people need to think about it ! Well played Konami !

A. There was a lot of things wrong with ML in the first place, a pair of boots won't break it further. But I'm not positive to the change myself.
B. PES5 is a legendary footy game, but I would go as far as saying PES2009, 2011 and 2012 surpassed it despite obvious flaws. PES2013 demo1 is better than all of them, even if you're stuck at exhibition matches.
C. I wouldn't buy a game where the AI aren't yet programmed... No, I get what you mean... that's not new though. PES5 got it as well.
PS. I'll give you kudos for saying PES5 over PES6 btw. There's, as you surely know, a great misconception that PES6 is the ultimate version, but that's the version when things started to go very wrong.
Changing boots is not a gamebreaker, i hope you can just upgrade the boots the player has. I like seeing players play with exactly or almost the exact same boots as in real life. If a player (that wears silver boots) has to get black or green boots to upgrade him it will be a pity, but who cares ime buying this game anyway

Depends on the reviews. If they say its the same old crap as before, then forget it. Its the reason I didn't get 12, because it was the same buggy, broken, nonsense.

For sure. I can't imagine not getting it. I've had PES every year since way back when and not once have I found ''the other'' game more appealing.
Just to clarify i will be getting it on day 1. Enjoying the shooting a lot more than last years weird effort!. I just need to learn more about the link feints and how to do different shots etc, Cause im one lazy bastard when it comes to that stuff, And im missing out. I just tend to play basic footy with the basic keys. Going to make a big effort this year! Bring it on fish face, errr I mean seabass
A) But a pair of boots changes the whole focus of what ML is about. The whole focus is boots, you give Mexes a pair of F50's his speed increases. Alot of the hardcore fans know that ML is simply not meant to be that way and is unrealistic in several ways
B) PES 5 for its time and lack of technolgy is better than PES 2013 as if you could create a game back in 2005 like PES 5, PES 2013 should be alot better. But that is not the case as a game like this should've been there time ago.
C) PES 5 had bad CPU AI but that was a game released over 6 years ago and you'd be thinking by now it should've improved noticably but its the same old same old.
PES 5 was better than PES 6, not because PES 6 was poor on multiplatforming, but PES 5 had a better feel with more freedom to do things on the pitch. PES 6 is far too overrated IMO but better than PES 2008

Sorry Seabass!. Seriously though am i right in saying that due to these new killer boots in master league that player stats dont mean that much untill you get them unlocked. A slow ronaldo? A lightning quick carroll?. Surely there keeping something from us. (Come on Abu you will know!)
Player stats are normal - start of ML a player has his default stats but he improves as normal. Boots impact the stats, so Ronaldo will have 87 speed without wearing the boots but 93 if he wears F50's. Typing in a rush so don't know if it makes sense at the mo

As long as Konami continues to release current editions of PES on the same game engine as the PS2, there is no need for me to indulge.
I already have a PES with overpowered shots, ping pong zippy passes, 16 directional turning, over rated players, crappy online, fake names, run fast and shoot gameplay ....PES 6.
They say Seabass has gone in hiding to work on the new PES2014 game with the new fox engine.....i will wait for that.
If they announce the 2 demo thing again next year ....i will again know they have neglected the game. There is no need for two demos after a whole year of development.....how comes Fifa doesn't do that and they are on top of the world?
