You couldnt get fired before. I would guess nothing has changed this year.

Yeah you probably can't get fired but for realism's sake, if you screw up you should take a lesser job. That's what I do - I treat it realistically.

Because they used to not renew your contract if you finished in the bottom three of division 2.

So you lost your job.

But you always had offers, to go elsewhere, so it wasn't the end of the world.

I was having a rough spell but it was never as rough as being in the bottom 3 lol.

Heh, I'll bear that in mind. I did so much wheeling and dealing in my first transfer window that Team Spirit dropped right down into the 30s !!! I had some reasonable results at the very start (before I'd done too much damage to the Team Spirit), but I then had a very bad run and was third from bottom briefly. I'm only back up to 55 Team Spirit and out of the bottom three. The effect on my team though is mainly in the attack, where trying to score is a nightmare with unresponsive and easy to tackle sluggish forward players.

I could start again, but I'm masochistically playing out this scenario to see how it goes.

I assume you know that some players have attributes that increase team spirit when captained?

There's one I think in the PES default team, but he is something like a 61 OPR player. When I included him, it raised the Team Spirit by 1 I think, so I generally leave him out. That said, I didn't know I needed him to be captain.

Looks like I'm in the hunt for a decent quality player with that 'skill' to have as my captain. I feel an advanced search coming on!

I think it's players who have 'Maestro' or 'Smart Player' team role that increase the team spirit when captained. You can search by team role on advanced search for them.

I think Halilović is a good young 'smart player' who you can captain.

I'm so using the default team. For me it is some CM called Vrany or something. 66 rated I think...old guy. Sold him off during the January transfer window of my first season today because he was eating up a huge portion of my wage budget at €550k a year.

I think Vrany was a CB, but he may well have had the right Role as well. But I sold him for better CBs very quickly, so I can't check. LOL

I looked up the roles that help Team Spirit and bought a "Team Player". Yes this helped a lot, and he's much better anyway than my regular CM, so things are on the up. Thanks for the tips guys, though making him captain didn't add even more boost.

Konami should include sackings. Then we could win a Premier League with Leicester, get them to the last 16 in the Champions League and still get sacked!! Pure logic
