EA have an exclusive deal with fifa for the premier league that locks Konami out. Nothing they can do about it currently.

I can't find this option either when starting a new Master League.

You have to remove someone from the squad and add him in.

The rules of Master League look to be roughly the same as before. 1. It looks like players with few matches have grown a fair bit, so I think training does it too. 2. ? 3. ? 4. You have to pay good money for big names, but anyone can be bought for the right price. Not realistic. 5. ?

This review comes off as biased and unfairly focused on graphics (and also unfairly negative). You can't expect this to be FIFA.

Was this very common in the demo? I haven't encountered it so far in the full version. I just tried about 15 through balls now vs amateur, worked well each time.

1. Yup and yup. 2. Kits (uniforms) have extensive editing options. Can't see a way to change emblems. 3. You can edit seat colors, goal nets, sideline color and pitch patterns. Only on some of the stadiums though. Can't see any way to create a new one.
