Personally i think instead of playing those boring inter-club games u should play in the reserve team against other reserve teams. And I think it would be awesome to have options during trainings to go and speak to coaches and players and have them recorded voices talking like Smackdown vs...

Yea i am sorta having the same prob and i found it is sooooo easy to get them on loan. They sign alomst straight away most of the time. Then after the loan period i think its easier to sign them then. Hope this helps.
