There´s always tons of negativity on every games forum around the release date. I know many people avoid forums like this one only because of this. Just check out other forums, most of them are filled with negativity even though the game is considered to be great.

Forget about an Xbox or a Ps3. Both are old, outdated and far behind the Pc in graphics.

Using R2+pressure and knowing when to release R2 while holding pressure is vital in this game. Also it can be very helpful to add a second defender by holding R2,pressure,pass but be careful with it. You don´t have to use this method every time though, just using the left stick to close space...

Mostly it´s just bad reviews. Pc Zone Uk rating for Pes 2008 was 87% :) PC Gamer UK gave it 86%, Realgamer 8.4 and so on.... And yes EA pay great money on advertising so many reviewers are forced to write positive. That´s a well known fact.
