    Clean install, got it for Xmas, installed and it had the problem, applied the official patch and the problem remained. My soundcard is a VIA AC97, and I'm installing the latest drivers as I type, I'll see if it makes a difference :) EDIT: No, no difference at all with the new drivers :(
