Just drew 1-1 with a player with 20 more ranking points than me. why did i lose points after the match??? Can anyone shed any light, or had the same problem?

Ive played 3 games online which have gone to penalty shootouts. It seems even if you win a penalty shoot out, the match is counted as the extra time result (a draw), and you only win ranking points for a draw. It stops your winning streak stat aswell. Surely this makes penalty shoot outs online...
