This game is very close to being brilliant, once the braindamaged refs and lame online play are addressed.

I did help you. I gave you advice that will keep your PS3 from getting shattered to pieces out of frustration. Be patient with the game and keep a cool head. I had difficulty with that at first but now I don't pay attention to ranking or trophies and the experience is much more rewarding.

Pellegrini has clearly not been studying his PES 2010 and it showed tonight. All he had to do was tell his team to pass to Ronaldo and sprint all match down the wing and they would have won 5-1.

All valid points, but I will hold on to my copy, because it's either that or no football at all. I tried FIFA, twice in fact, and traded it twice. At this point, PES is the lesser of both disasters, so I will stick with it and learn to laugh at its glaring flaws instead of cursing at them.

This is sad...playing PES for the trophies? I'm not surprised that you find online frustrating. Play for enjoyment and love of the game instead! You'll live longer.

That does not surprise me as the connection quality is very unpredictable in this game. I have played against some friends that have green dots one day, and red dots another day. I wish I knew a solution to this but I do not. Sorry.

I guess there wasn't much "Evolution" between the two games in that case. :D With the online and number of issues addressed, this could actually be a really addictive game. And yes, Barca v Barca or Brazil v Brazil is very common online, as I have witnessed too. What is this, Street Fighter 4?

I ditched PES too and got FIFA. FIFA's not great either, but at least there is no recurrence of that challenge from behind that wins the boot-shaped "ball."
