Indeed doubles don't affect anything at all.
Their removal is due to the fact that it doesn't make any sense in having 2-3 people who represent the exact same player.
Besides, if you wanna edit one double, those modifications aren't extended to the real player: for example, if you don't get rid of JORMAC, double of Jovetic, and decide to apply to JORMAC a beard, the real Jovetic won't change and will remain without beard.
