1.2 Patch Doesn't Work?

I'm in Canada.

I bought PES 2009 for the PC from a UK dealership, since PES 09 for the PC doesn't seem to be available here in Canada.

I visited a website called Fileshack and downloaded the 1.2 patch, which is 20.7 mb in size. I can't seem to get the thing to work though. All I get is the hour-glass icon, and then I wait for an eternity, but nothing happens.

The only thing I can think of is that I've downloaded the wrong patch somehow?

Also, what does the patch actually do?

This is a separate question:

I had assumed that The Champions League license meant that all of the teams competing in The Champions League would've been available to play as. Was anybody else here surprised to learn that that wasn't the case?

It seems kind of weird to claim that you've got the license for a league, and then not have the real teams available?

Couldn't agree more, they were better off telling us that instead of surprising us with that information. Not good on the PR side to make people think they will have all those teams, but really get not much out of it.
