Konami's footballer sees a major kickoff at retail in Europe.
Konami was understandably pleased--and vocal--today about the success of Pro Evolution Soccer 4. The European division of the Japanese publisher shipped 1.5 million units of the PlayStation 2 edition of the soccer sim on its first day of release in Europe. That is a 150 percent increase over 2003's Pro Evolution Soccer 3, which sold a million copies its first day. Xbox and PC versions of the game are due next month.
