Hello

Anyone heard of anyway to get PES3 or the PES4 demo running in 1600x1200? I cant believe its still not an option in the settings.exe file!

Whats more, I dont see anyone else complainging about this, which I also find strange.

I have had a look at the binary file produced by settings.exe, and the resolution is stored in bytes 5-8. Encoding 1600x1200 is easy enough, but bytes 3-4 change as well whenever the resolution changes, and I dont know whats going on there.

Anyone got any information or thoughts? Doesnt anyone want to play in that res? Runs perfectly well on any current generation video card.

On another note, is there an official forum somewhere to post to?

Ehh I dont care as long as it runs at 1024x768 and 1280x1024 (or what it is called) im happy. I would need to buy a larger monitor than my 17" if I went any higher :)

i wouldnt mind testing my video card fully on pes4...it runs with no problems on 1024x768, wonder how much better it may look with higher resolution...ill be waiting for a solution on this also - hoping google searches may find me an answer on how to do this...if its possible

My issue with this is that I have a 1600x1200 flat panel, so running in any other resolution severely degrades the image quality for me.

I am currently running in 1280x1024 in windowed mode with 8XAA and 16XAF and it never even comtemplates dropping a frame. Looks much better than fullscreen because of the native resolution of the panel.

Im running on TFT as well i have no problems displaying within the range of 800x600 --> 1280x1024 and it even look pretty good in old dos software running at 640x480!! The native mode is 1280x1024 but my NEC montor does not seem to mind what res i run it in!!

I agree 100% with JonRico's post.
With today's technology and Video Cards, it is very important for us (the final users) to be allowed to use our hardware with the best possible image quality.

PLEASE HELP us finding a way to use this excelent game (PES4) at a higher resolution (like 1600x1200).

This is much better game than EA's FIFA (which I am playing at 1600x1200)
