1mprove your online (I hope) ERROR OCCURED

Okay after hours of labour I think I have figured out a few things . (WARNING SNOOZING POST AHEAD)

1. LAGGING PROBLEM AND ERROR OCCURED

These problem's were on MY PS3 version . I had perfectly fine broadband but it was lagging like s h i t online and then I couldn't login . So I found out a little about this MTU setting a blah blah setting for the internet which if it is set wrong will send too much packet data and bingo start your game lagging . This also help me log back onto pes online after receiving the error for hours yesterday and this morning .

The auto setting on the PS3 is 1500 but you are going to have to find out what suits your broadband by going here

and following the steps until you get the right setting .

USE YOUR PC and find the right setting at which your broadband responds to .


Then set up a new connection on your PS3 and when you get to MTU select manual and enter the CORRECT setting and then complete the rest auto and test your connection .

(If you have a wireless connection I think you have to change the router and the ps3 mtu settings to work right)

This actually improved my network as well when I went to speedtest .net ? (I don't think it should have and I am sure some whizz will abuse me for saying so) .

IF THIS WORKS I really am happy for you as this stress s h i t can cause heart attacks and poor ageing and I wouldn't mind some rep points !

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK and something bad happens well this is the disclaimer and I would be lying if I didn't take any sexual pleasure from this , it is pretty much an idiot proof way of fixing the problem.

Anyway, seems like to much hassle to me, & TBH my recent matches haven't been too bad in terms of lag:

But then there is the occasional match that makes you end up...

Overall it's not too bad & there's a patch coming soon I believe which could help it, but there's certainly room for improvement

i have a wireless Netgear router with AOL. they pretty much are really slow and sometimes i get DNS error or some numbers with "an error has occured"
may i ask if you no what is wrong. i no about the DNS has to do with the IP address so i got one, but see i usually get like "you have been signed out of playstation network" and then says nothin else. what is wrong. and should i have my PC on logged in AOL to give me better connection?
please help.

P.S. today my internet on PS3 was fiune but it wont let me play PES2009 online, it says about something about that i should try again later and some other wrods i cant remember. any idea?

To usally change the settings of a netgear router write 192.168.0.1 into the address bar and it should take you to your router's login in page ,type admin for both the login and the password. (I think but you can double check)

Inside the router's settings you can configure Upnp on (If your router has the feature) this is good for the Ps3 . I also read somewhere that you can give the PS3 a static I.p address which would be better for gaming .

If you followed the steps above you should have your correct mtu setting and you can change the router's mtu to suit .

Aol shouldn't have any affect on your network if anything I would recommend not login into that account .

Try write it into whatever Internet browser you have . As for the Upnp I cannot be sure but I think that it enables your ps3 for better online feature .

Some people have said that it improved the ps3 for less lagging online but how true these statements are can be questionable .

It could be the distance , wireless is very hard to get right but not impossible . If you have the correct settings you can improve your online gaming much more .
